going through this thread's depth charts is so much harder than just going to the team's website and looking at their roster....

5) Erick Dampier/Jamaal Magloire/Juwan Howard
4) Dirk Nowitzki/Brandon Bass/Malik Allen
3) Josh Howard/Devean George/Antoine Wright
2) Jason Terry-SG/Jerry Stackhouse/Eddie Jones
1) Jason Kidd/(Jason Terry-PG)/Jose Barea

Just re-arranged the way i see it. Allen is a PF. Juwan is also, but Avery plays him at 3rd string center. Stack is primarily a SG. Wright won't see the light of day at any position. George 2nd string SF.

If we can repeat players at different positions, it is probably more like this:
C: Horford/Zaza
PF: Smith/Marvin/Jones
SF: Marvin/Chill/Richardson
SG: JJ/Chill/Salim/West
PG: Bibby/Speedy/Law/Salim

Jones is never used as a PF, only as a C. Same with Zaza. (Well, maybe once or twice, but as a rule, no.)
Smith, Marvin, and Chill get rotated around the SF/PF positions normally. In fact, Chill before the trade was also used as one of the primary subs for JJ and the PGs as well.
And it's hard to say where Speedy would fit, since if he was healthy, we probably wouldn't have gotten Bibby.

In fact, with the Hawks, you can't used the standard 1-5 lineup, really. Not an accurate depiction. They use more a Point/Wing/Forward/Center lineup, with 2 forwards most commonly.

Without duplication, I'd have to say:
C: Horford*/Zaza/Jones
F: Smith*/Williams*/Chill
W: JJ*/Salim/Richardson/West
P: Bibby*/Law/Speedy
(* for starters)

Lineups most commonly P/W/2F/C. Have occasionally gone 2W/2F/C, 2W/3F, P/W/3F, and once-maybe-twice P/2W/F/C or P/2W/2F.

The Hawks roster being what it is, most of the players can and have played multiple roles, often in the same game. Unfortunately, since many of the bench players have gone weeks to months without playing between games, it is what it is.

Incorrect

Atkins and Nene were both the penciled in starters for this season by George Karl in October. Then Atkins got injured a week before the season began. Nene was active but recovering from a preseason hamstring injury so he was bumped from the starting lineup for the first week or two to "play limited minutes". and then he got injured again.

When they both became healthy in December, they were again asked to "come off the bench and play themselves into shape". It's pretty common knowledge tho in Denver that those 2 were on the starting lineup for this season until their pre-season injuries.

Well for this season, I think its safe to consider Carter and Matin the starters... Its not like Atkins and Nene are gonna come back and take their spots back anytime soon; both Carter and Martin have played better than expected and even if the other two were to come back right now and finish the rest of the season, I doubt they would steal Carter and Martins starting spots...

btw TJ Ford was "penciled" in as the starter but look what has happened... Injuries are part of the game... Calderon is the starting PG of the Raptors

Chuck Hayes was penciled as the starter of the Rockets, now Scola has come on... I could go on and on...

Damon Jones needs to be moved ahead of Eric Snow on your Cavs depth chart.

I'd say Nene wouldn't start over Martin, but Atkins is a starter...

I disagree.

I think Atkins would take over AC at the point.

But Nene will come off the bench even when healthy and provide scoring from there. K-Mart has been working his arse off and has not disappointed an has made this team a significantly better defensive team. I think George will continue starting K-Mart.
