I’m taking a massive victory lap tonight. I’ve been calling him garbage since his Houston days, anyone with knowledge of the game knows it. One of the greatest empty stat guys of our generation.

Dude is a MVP winner and future Hall of Famer, how is this a disappointment? The only thing missing is a title.

He's hurting Luka out there dude trying to steal the series by taking him out of the game by injury. He didn't have to stoop so low but it is what it is. He's now a goon after being one of the most liked player and MVP in 2017.

Doesn't he have a player option, so yes?

Yep
** Embiid is the only MVP in NBA history to never make a conference final
** Philly won multiple playoff games without MVP Embiid
** Luka made the WCF without Brunson
** LeBron missed the playoffs with Davis
** Steph missed the playoffs with Klay

Probably the only year where MVP was awarded purely on personal boxscore stats. Westbrook is a great example of why team Ws is usually a huge factor.

You expected more than that when he walked across the stage on draft night?

Pretty tough to be a contributing NBA player in the league, let alone for a 6'3'' PG, if you can't make a 3-pointer, mid range shot, free throw, or even a layup with any kind of consistency.

Want a former MVP? What about a goon? No I'm not talking about two different players, you can get both in Russ!

And if he was loved like Curry by NBA he would have 2x extra all-stars and one 3rd NBA.

Westbrook along with Iverson are the 2 most overrated players in history. Great floor raisers, but on a stacked team or a team with multiple stars I would rather have someone like Jeff Teague.
