Don't see how you can hate on a nearly 300 7'0 guy coming off an in-season meniscus surgery and who's clearly laboring and in pretty big pain at times still gutting it out, honestly. Had a lot of turnovers tonight but it was a choppy, physical game.

There were some huge disappointing moments from Embiid tonight. Some passes that should not have happened. Rushed plays... But my God, can people really not look at him physically and see *HE CAN NOT JUMP*
Every time he actually did (and even then he didn't get much height) he ended up hobbling after. If you wanna call him a choker, go ahead... but at least be realistic. If Embiid is 'acting injured' then he deserves a mother effing Oscar.
I've said this a few times since he came back. I've never seen Embiid look 'smaller' on the court than he does right now. He's not fully erect most of the time and doesn't even really look like a '7-footer' out there and more like a 6'10 guy since coming back. Whether it's pain, the brace, but he's closer to the court than he usually plays.

I thought Harden was bad with his flopping for free throws. Embiid took it to another level.

Every year people on realgm seem to 'discover' that Embiid's not good in closeout situations and makes really bad decision against double teams (especially staggered or blind ones), as though it's some kind of giant revelation that they're disclosing to the world. And then they'll call him out as a fraud based on some expectations that no one who watches him has.
Can you guys please just lock that in for him? Just a big part of who he is. Why the Sixers have been trying to get a perimeter creator around him since like his 2nd season. He's really never ever been good at that, even in games/series he's played well in.
Which was not tonight, he was just bad in the 4th today point blank. He also doesn't always miss lay-ups and most of his jumpers, though, sometimes like game 3 he drills everything in sight. He also sometimes isn't totally out of energy and will, and isn't as much of a nothing down the stretch. Not an excuse or anything, just saying this isn't who he always is in important games. But yeah he's a bad closer and really bad against doubles and help defense. If you thought something else, welcome to the real convo on Embiid.

He shouldn't be playing he can barely move and Nurse is playing him the entire 2nd half.
I love how the GB pretends like we don't know what Embiid looks like healthy. If you want to bash him for always getting injured around this time go ahead. Completely fair.
But stop pretending this is what Embiid is as a player. It isn't. He's clearly hurt.

Check the plus/minus with Embiid for the POs. It's staggering. I forget exactly what it is, but it's something like he's averaging 42 minutes per game and the Sixers are +48. When he's off the court for 6 minutes per game they are like -50.
This is even with being on one leg, migraine, and his eyes constantly rolling into the back of his head randomly.

But his decision making and body language is horrible. You can't have him as your leader no matter what.
He's literally always hurt. That doesn't work as an excuse anymore when you got hurt for all 10 of your pro seasons and your only college season. You can't act like something that has happened 11 years in a row is in any fashion a surprise or a deviation from the norm. Hurt Embiid is the real Embiid.

Clearly injured and can barely run. What did you expect from him exactly?
Last year was more of a fair criticism.

He’s been a dumb decision maker in the playoffs his entire career

Yeah, +14 for Embiid tonight despite a junk night as a scorer/driver. His defensive value is clear but it's also weirdly consistent that the offense stinks when he's not in there even in crap games.

Honestly it is pretty rough to judge a guys body language when he is playing through pain in his knee, has a paralyzed face and is exhausted from playing every minute of the 2nd half because our GM can't build a bench.

He is what he is. He's not a high endurance guy. It's not a knock but I get tired just watching him look as exhausted as he does at the end of games. Dude plays 32 mpg with rest days during the year, so of course being asked to play 45+ min in the playoffs he'll look sluggish. He's being set up to fail in my opinion.
