One of the biggest gripes against the process back in the day was that you'd never be able to wipe the loser stink off of any great players you managed to draft. They managed to draft two all NBA level talents during that period.

Secondly, Embiid is awesome. While he hasn't had his best game from an offensive efficiency standpoint, he is still has a monster stat line and is currently a +12.

Maxey said it himself yesterday and it's such an obvious thing when you watch the game... When Embiid gets the ball he gets trapped by 2-3 players without fail. So it's up to the supporting cast to capitalize like Maxey did tonight in incredible fashion. A combination of that and his elite defensive impact results in what is/will always be clear in his stats: the Sixers win when he's on the court. Everything else is just noise.
