I really hope they don't start putting some games exclusively on Peacock.

If TNT loses NBA Amazon I hope will bring Inside the NBA over to their platform. It's a perfect fit and win-win.

TNT is amazing and I hope they don’t lose it. ESPN is absolutely pathetic, and it would be sad if they kept it. NBC was really good in the past, and probably would be a lot better than ESPN again, so hopefully we end up with TNT + NBC (though it unfortunately sounds like ESPN is likely to keep it).

So true. The way things are going, in a few years, sports viewing will be so fragmented that Im just gonna give up altogether.

I was not happy the NFL decided to stream the Chiefs-Dolphins PLAYOFF game, that was ridiculous. But if I can get them on illegal streams like I do now anyway it's fine I guess.

What I do know is that TNT's NBA coverage is excellent and this would mean the end of it and the end of Inside the NBA. That would be a tragedy.

ESPN/NBC/Amazon would all go after them immediately. Though I'm not sure what the impact of Chuck's new contract will be on this.

I think TNT Warner company has to put themselves up for sale and get acquired by Amazon or NBC Comcast.

With NBC Comcast, they can get Max streaming and save on paying for Warner Channels.

With Amazon, they could rival Netflix for streaming.

Google YouTube could benefit by acquiring Warner to build the infrastructure to compete with IPhone if they had entertainment services to attach with Pixel.

I loved the NBA on NBC growing up, and god knows they could put on a better product than ESPN/ABC does, who are the absolute dirt worst. I'd be all for the change just to get it away from those clowns and into the hands of someone at least semi-competent, if not actually competent.

That said, it won't be the same. The thing that made it work back then wasn't just the song (even though it was great), but the fact that during a week in the regular season the only time you got to see Jordan was on a Sunday in January, unless you lived in Chicago or he was playing your team.

The double/triple headers were an event. You got to see Patrick Ewing against Barkley, then Jordan against Zeke, then Magic against Stockton/Malone. And you can trade all those names with a few others, but the point is I got to see Magic play growing up in the playoffs, and that handful of times on NBC.

Then add the fact that if you didn't have cable, there was a whopping 4-8 channels or whatever to choose from in your city, so usually this was the best thing going on at the time. And even if you did have cable, it still probably was the best thing going on at the time.

Disney already secured a deal. It's going to be NBC or TNT.

No love for ESPN here. No fans for Stephen A, Doris? How about their cardboard commentators?

I’d love to see the NBA move to Peacock. Peacock is way cheaper than subscribing to cable or a tv subscription. Not sure why so many people complain about Peacock.

Peacock's owned by Comcast, the price will be going up.
