Nikola Jokic against Minnesota this season (including Game 1): 26 assists to 21 turnovers

Only three teams held Jokic to under 7 assists per game this season: Minnesota, Philadelphia, Miami

If Gobert is out, Denver has to capitalize. If they go down 0-2 with him sitting, it's over.

Sorry not a fan of the koombaya stuff going on with Gobert. It’s all fun and games until they get blown out in game 2

Speaking personally, I think it is not as much a matter of just whether Rudy is comfortable with leaving but also his partner. To me unless she is like ‘get the f out of here and play’ I keep my mouth shut and stay…
When will we just change the name of 25 of the 30 teams to the Washington Generals?

Please advise….

This game feels like a Denver win by 10+ no matter Rudy plays or not

If they go down 0-2 with or without him playing it is probably over especially without home court. I could see him not playing throwing preparation off. So I’m not even sure if it makes winning that much easier anyway. Bottom line, the Nuggets have to win.

Just had my first child last year. I wouldn't miss it for anything. With that said, if I was NBA player I'd try to plan it around the playoffs.

As far as leaving, I'd go if the baby and wife were safe, healthy and I had a few hours to be with him/her. And only if my partner was VERY VERY okay with it. But it would be a family decision, like most things.

If Jamal Murray were 100% healthy, I would absolutely agree with you. But that is such a significant factor that really hasn't been brought up much. He is such a huge factor to Denver's success. With him hobbled, their likelihood to win games becomes that much more difficult in my mind.

I agree with you of course on everyone being safe first but my point is, do you think you are broaching the idea of leaving first? Because I think that would not be a wise move. So really, as much as it would be a ‘family decision’, I think it basically would not be a family decision.

Gobert out would basically take all pressure off of Minny. At that point you push the pace and run. If you can't win, wear them out. We could see a good amount of of the "small ball" lineup Finch likes to use against Jokic once in a while

Edwards
McDaniels
Reid
NAW
Conley/Morris.

Sounds like the team is optimistic Rudy will be there for the tip.

What % of Murray being awful in the playoffs so far is due to injuries vs shooting luck vs just poor play?

If the Nuggets don’t make the finals and Murray plays incredibly poorly due to injuries, do they look to get another star guard to pair with Jokić as it would be 3 out of 4 of the past years Murray wasn’t healthy in time for the post season?

I think at least 70 percent of a pie chart would go to the injury.

If he is healthy, he is a lock to play 35+ minutes, with blowouts being the only time he's been under 37 minutes in the 2023 and 2024 playoffs. He played only 34 minutes in Game 1. He also had not had a game where he was worse than a -3 in the last two postseasons. He was a -22 in Game 1.

He’s injured. We know how good he is in the playoffs when healthy.
