Normal scores of games first to 100 thanks refs

Is anybody else thoroughly thoroughly thoroughly enjoying the way games are being reffed?

If an offensive player is out of control and just runs into defensive players they are not calling fouls for the most part.

They are allowing some challenges at the rim. Not calling ticky tack stuff that much.

It’s been a lot more about who makes and takes shots. A lot of the being a foul merchant stuff isn’t being rewarded. And slowly but surely players are adjusting.

I for one absolutely love it. And love seeing these 102-95 type score. Games have been great from that perspective.

Overall pretty good but they still reward flopping. 100% better than regular season product tho.

Someone else said it "the players were way more skilled during the regular season/two weeks ago". That's why more points were being scored then. Officiating has nothing to do with it.

I agree, I've been thinking the same thing. I really like season defense allowed back in the game and it feels like players are really earning those 100 points.

I humbly thought this would be a big topic of discussion. This is the first time i’ve actually seen refs do what i imagine they should do. Let players play and don’t reward mayhem sort players who just barrel in with no actual basketball play. All sorts of better basketball is happening because of it. Midrange, turn around, post play etc. People actually getting back to trying to make shots instead of hunt contact.

The refs have done a good job, now I just need the players to stop taking lazy 3pt shots bailing out the defense.
