Who will be the next American MVP?
It's been five years since an American was the MVP (Harden in 2018) when considering only players born in the U.S.
Since then, Giannis, Jokic, and Embiid have won. They are among the favorites to win over the next few years along with Luka.
Who will be the next American MVP? Curry, KD, Tatum, Booker, Ant, or someone else?

Tatum or JA seems most likely imo. Maybe Zion has one healthy amazing season in him. A dark horse would be Banchero.

Re: Who will be the next American MVP?
To win MVP a player typically has to be on a top seeded team, or have some outlier statistical season like when Westbrook was the first player to average a triple-double since Oscar Robertson.
With that in mind in the short-term I think only these players have a realistic chance:
-Tatum
-Booker
-Ja
All three of them are on teams that will probably be at or near the top of the standings over the next few years. Ja is the least likely of the trio, but if Memphis rolls up 60+ wins at some point I could see him getting the accolades similar to the Derrick Rose MVP.
Among the older generation I think Butler and Davis could also conceivably win one if they have everything fall into place, but I find it very unlikely. Miami is not going to shoot for the top seed over health, same with LA, and if the Lakers were somehow top seed the media would probably give it to Lebron over AD even if Lebron was the lesser player. Plus AD never plays anywhere near a full season.
Edit: After thinking about it a bit more I could also see Lillard banking one if he gets traded and that team leads the league in wins.

If Boston is a top 3 seed and Tatum is putting up 30ppg on solid efficiency, next season will probably be his

Tatum seems primed to get one at some point. Probably before other Americans.

Re: Who will be the next American MVP?
I honestly think it could be a while
I think Embiid is done winning MVP's, but Joker and Giannis have one more each
Then, we know Luka's gonna win a couple
Is Wemby coming behind, in 4 years, as an MVP threat?
I think the only real American with a good shot is Tatum, but the Celtics have to win big, with him out front and playing 75 games.

Durant next year is plausible.

Re: Who will be the next American MVP?
Tatum is young enough to wait out Jokic/Giannis' primes. Luka will probably be the guy at that point, but maybe he sneaks one. If not him, I'll go with someone not currently in the league. I'm not sure Ja and Ant have tier 1 potential.

Flagg.
Organization can be defined as an organized body of people with a particular purpose. Not random.

Probably Booker, Tatum or Anthony Davis. Lillard as an outside shot if he goes to Miami and everything clicks there.

Re: Who will be the next American MVP?
Booker would be a very weak MVP.
Chet, Flagg are good dark horses…I’ll add one more in Fox if he can take another step.
