Too bad they cut the play early, because it is a perfect illustration of the Spurs and Wemby season. Wemby stops a 3 on 1 fastbreak by himself, then seeing 2 of his teammates back in the paint he closes down hard on the shooter in the corner who fakes and drives but neither of his teammates even attempts to contest the shot. Then Branham crosses halfcourt as Champagnie inbounds the ball.

I remember the Kidd, Big Dog and Hill 3x ROY.

Dog it ain't been close enough to consider that. Wemby pulled away a few months ago when it was a closer race.

Chet-sans don't understand that the #3 MVP candidate, the top 5 player in their team is carrying the Thunder. Chet contributes to wins because of SGA.

Anyone with more than an ounce of basketball IQ could have seen that Wemby is 3 stratosphere better as a basketball player than Chet even back in November

Chet has been a great defensive anchor for OKC this season. Although small sample, Chet without SGA is 2-5 (23 win pace team) and his numbers didn't improve. While Duncan was 6-3 (55 win pace team) without DRob in rookie season and his numbers improved.

Dog, one rookie has the worst record in franchise history, the other has one of the best in franchise history..

Brandon Miller might be the best under the radar rookie of all time. They don't even have to talk. This kid is a franchise cornerstone type of talent.

It's so fun watching him fly under the radar. They literally had a debate on Undisputed the other day and Skip literally said Charlotte has nothing going for them besides LaMelo. Dude probably doesn't even know Miller exist.

So we're just going to place the credit for that on Chet, not on SGA and JDub and the team as a whole?

Wemby created too much separation. The race is over. I usually groan when people say this but I don't think its particularly close now anymore.

J-Dub on Chet's case for ROY: “His numbers speak for themselves… We were basically .500 last year without him, and now we already have 50+ wins. To me, that's a pretty good case.”

I don't have the link but I saw that ESPN had their final rookie rankings today by Bobby Marks and he listed Podziemski 3rd, Jaquez 4th and said they are locks for the 1st team All-Rookie and said that the questions start rising when you get to BRANDON MILLER at 5.

"I'd have both Jaquez and Podziemski on my All-Rookie first team. The trickier case is No. 2 pick Brandon Miller..."

What is he even talking about? Who in their right mind would possibly think Jaquez and Podziemski are more of a lock for the all-rookie 1st team than Miller???Are the media about to totally screw Brandon Miller out of 1st team all rookie? What is Bobby Marks smoking?

That column has been terrible all season long. Just a month ago they were still arguing over Chet vs Wemby and had Miller at #6 and #8. The fact that they're actually discussing if Lively should be over Miller at #5 is laughable.

He's not even the best player of his draft class in his own team.
