Guys, I have a question about that controversial Game 4 ending:

1) I'm happy that the Lakers won the series, but is there ANY chance that they will replay the end of Game 4, or is the series officially over?

I mean, the NBA has already admitted they made a mistake, it arguably cost them the game and the series would have been 2-2 instead of 3-1 going into last night's game.

ANY chance the Spurs can force a replay, or is the series officially done and there's no chance of that happening?

Thanks!

Haha, yea, don't worry about that, not happening, and it shouldn't.

If anyone is watching the Bos / Detroit game. Please educate me on that offensive foul on pierce when the defender left his feet on a pump fake. Over the past several years, if you leave your feet, any contact and the foul is on you.

After game 4 of the Lakers / Spurs series, reggie miller was criticizing brent barry for not leaning into a leaping fisher... and thats why he didnt get the call.

Pierce barely moved on this play. Does anyone see something subtle that Pierce did to warrant the foul?

Bennett Salvatore clearly belongs in the "NBA Officials Hall of Shame." That offensive foul call on Pierce, where he was clearly fouled shooting a trey (that went in) is one of the worst calls I've ever seen.

I'm not sure how this abominable officiating can be allowed to continue. I'm just waiting for the horrible calls that absolutely screw one of the teams in the finals.

yeah, that puzzled me too. Pierce traveled to get the foul. I thought it was going to be either defensive foul or a travel. I don't get the offensive foul though at all, unless the traveling had something to do with it.

Pierce only travelled after the defender came down on top of him after the upfake.

Bull, no one could see that was a travel until the slow mo replay, that's how insignificant the feet movement was. He wanted to wave off a big foul...

Ugh what can I say about game 1. The calls are night and day from the first and second half. And yet again the refs make calls on reputation. I mean by the end the lakers getting a rebound was considered a looseball foul and incidental contact was being called 30ft away from the basket. I can see why defense wins championships now. Teams with good defensive rep are given a lot more leeway than than teams with soft tags regardless for identical plays. Luckily the right team won tonight but I fear that it gonna cost a game down the road.

lmao at the foul on gasol on that clear block. The ref even RAN in to make the call. Utterly pathetic.

Yes it looked like Pierce slid to the right in order to draw the contact so he could take the foul. From the ref's view he decided that there would be no contact if Pierce had not moved into the defender's path so he called a blocking foul on Pierce.

The way that the referees are calling this game has me really upset. The non-call involving Gasol feels like the straw that broke the camel's back, leading to Ray's fastbreak tray. Because of this and several other plays, I feel that this game has already been decided.

Just disgusting.

As much as it helps sell tickets to always have the home team win, I think this strategy ends up biting the league in the butt.

Why even bother watching the game if we know one team has to overcome a 10-20 pt officiating disadvantage to win on the road?

Folks, we KNOW the league is fixed. An NBA official was arrested for it.

What's the freaking point of any of this?

Stern simply wants the Celtics to win or at least make this a 7 game series. He wants KG, ALlen and Pierce to win at least one cuz when bynum comes back Celtics have no chance. We now lakers are going to win one next year.

**** the referees tonight. I've heard of controversy, but even some Celtics fans have got to admit that this is insane.

And yes Celtics fans, you deserved this game for that second half but I'm not going to excuse the terrible first half officiating because the correct team won. The Lakers shouldn't have to outplay the Lakers by 15 points to win by 2 etc...
