Lol.

Rasheed - 12.7ppg, 43 fg%, 6.6rpg, 1.8apg, 1.68bpg
Dwight - 20.7ppg, 60 fg%, 14.2rpg, 1.3apg, 2.15bpg

Dwight wins.....

McDyess - 8.8ppg, 49 fg%, 8.5rpg, 1.1apg, 0.68bpg, 0.78spg
Shard - 18.2ppg, 45 fg%, 5.4rpg, 2.4apg, 0.47bpg, 1.22spg

Shard wins......

Prince - 13.2ppg, 45 fg%, 4.9rpg, 3.3apg, 0.51spg
Hedo - 19.5ppg, 45 fg%, 5.7rpg, 5.0apg, 0.90spg

Hedo wins.......

Dwight >> Sheed
Shard >>> McDyess
Hedo > Prince
Evans <<<< Hamiltons
Nelson <<<< Billups

This is more accurate.

Those stats don't measure D. Sheed and McDyess put the D in Detroit. Lockdown-type ****.

Sheed is going to get T'd up in every game of this series trying to defend Howard. I'm sorry, but I've seen both play and Howard is going to feast on Sheed.

McDyess is going to go out to the perimeter and guard Rashard? That should be pretty comical. If Rashard can blow by Chris Bosh who actually is young and quick, whats he going to do to the old ass bad knees Mcdyess?

ROFLMAO at Sheed=Dwight. D-12 is putting up numbers not seen since prime Shaq and Wilt. Rasheed is pretty damn talented but dont think for a moment that he could handle the 20/20 machine one on one.

It won't be a sweep this year. Detroit will throw them a game this year. Make 'em feel all warm and squishy inside.

It is stupid that people pull out partial stats to try to prove who is a better overall player. Just look at the numbers the Phoenix Suns players have put up the past few years and haven't been able to make it out of the Western Conference. That doesn't make them the best players in the NBA, it just means they fit well into their teams system. Most of the Pistons players this year only played on average of 30 minutes a game, take that into account when you want to compare stats against players who have to play nearly 48 minutes a night.

Sheed is certainly a valuable piece to the Pistons. But equal to Dwight...? Come on.

Either way, the Pistons would obviously be the favorites heading into our series, if they make it. It would be a tough challenge for the Magic, as always - but certainly much more interesting than last postseason's easy sweep.

You could just watch them and see that the Magic front court is better than the Pistons front court. Just like you can see how much better the Pistons backcourt and bench is than the Magics. Magic simply are more talented up front, thats all. We still lose in 6 or so games probably.

And they play 38 minutes, not 48.

Do I really need to ask why we are even comparing who is the best players when what is really important is who is the better team? Its been proven numerous times that a team can have a star player and not be a great team, but a great team can be a team full of stars because they usually play better together. I'm not trying to take anything away from Howard, he has been great in his short career. But the Pistons match up well against the Magic, especially in the backcourt.

I doubt anyone here truly believes that the Magic are a better team top to bottom than the Pistons, its the moronic statement that Sheed = Howard that got me rolling.

you bring up great points... you are correct our players play more making their stats slightly skewed... but if you are going to say that mcdyess will bring the same to youre team when we bring him out on the perimiter to guard someone you are mistaken... this is going to be something that the magic will try to exploit to the fullest... sheed does a great job on dwight in the past ... but dwight has never played with this kind of focus like he is this postseason... i dont think the magic are quite ready to take the torch from the pistons yet but to disregard them as not even close to the pistons is unreal... i think this series will be decided in the first games in detriot... if the magic cant win one there of the back this series will probably go 5 but if the magic could get one of the back i could see this series going 7

Yeah, you fail. :nonono:

As for the series, I'd pick Pistons in 7. This is a very even matchup when it comes down to it. You own our backcourt. We own your frontcourt. You own our bench. We own your coach.

But the ultimate tiebreakers are experience and homecourt, both of which go to the Pistons. When they turn it on, I truly believe that Detroit is the best team in basketball. Their only problem is that they can't turn it on as readily anymore due to age or boredom or what have you, but I see them playing to their abilities when they hit the second round. I see them sputtering out before a Finals appearance, but let no one deny the success of this team.
