The question is by who?

He's going to be the best player available and there are a lot of teams with capspace.

Philly will most likely offer him a max. He's younger and a upgrade from Harris.

I'm sure Miles wants to return, but this will be in the ownership hand's. He's going to get paid a lot of money.

I'll bet my house he doesn't get a max.

Bold bet.

Rich Paul his agent. Van Fleet got a max when nobody thought he would.

Sixers aren't getting a better player in FA than Bridges.

You still have time to rethink this.

I don't need time to rethink it. I'm not even sure if he would've gotten a max before his incidents.

Couldn’t see the game, great win. A question; Williams had a good game, but how does he go 27 minutes and get ZERO rebounds?
I continue to wait...and hope...for the return to Hornet's glory.

He mentioned it post-game and basically said Miles gobbled all of them up.

LMAO they clowning us on TNT even when we won the game.

Just shows you how much they don't care for Charlotte. Laugh now but the disrespect will soon stop in the near future.

Because he's playing elite D on Lauri/Collins and bodying them and worrying about that

Yet another game where many people contributed, no surprise they're winning games now. It's a far cry from pre-deadline where Miller and Miles had to carry all the offensive load. Miles was clutch in the last 4 minutes when the game seemed in the balance.

Not that I'm complaining, but another game where the opposing team shot like hell from 3. Jazz were 9/39 for a meager 23.1%. During the 4 game winning streak, opponents have shot 42/151 from deep (27.8%). We're likely to see this positively regress back to the mean.

Man, what the heck happened to Walker Kessler? He had a nice rookie year but now whenever I see him it's a negative play or he's getting clowned. His box was -18 last night and stood out like a sore thumb.

Good point on Kessler, I was looking forward to watching him play and didn't realize he was coming off the bench for them. He was very not good.

unpopular opinion (maybe?), I would look to move Richards this offseason, he looks the part but isn’t it. constantly out of position and still a poor rebounder for his size. Would rather have a different type of center to match with Mark Williams, like one who can shoot a jumper, or just bring Nnaji in (or both)
I don't support domestic violence. Thanks Miles

The variance on opponent 3s is nice but we are also challenging them much better so they’re at least doing their part for a change. Just gotta find a way to get rebounds after good defensive possessions

Someone (fats?) had mentioned Jalen Smith. Like the idea as a different look.

I mentioned him in the offseason thread, he can shoot a 3 but has been largely inconsistent in his career. Interesting though

Feel-o-meter says we have definitely been better at contesting, close outs and just less blown coverages leading to wide open 3s.

Grant Williams is undersized compared to Nick, but is much more effective because he knows where to be and has actual NBA awareness. Nick Richards is the ultimate illusion of a decent player but in reality, should be a low mins big when option 1 and 2 aren't available or need a breather.

Another fun game!

We are a shot making team right now, over last 4 game winstreak we are 3rd in 3s made per game, 4th in %.
but that is not it, we are defending and currently 5th in def rating during that stretch.

Clifford is pushing the right buttons right now with the rotations.
Bertans is a legit weapon 6 mins played 9 pts on 3 shots.
The Richards/Grant center rotation is working.

Miller didn't play great on offense, but I thought tonight might have been his best defensive game of the year. He was all over the place, 4 steals, I thought his length caused 3-4 misses at the rim even if he didn't block shots.

Miles do your Dance and shut the club down!!! Clutch to close that game out 3/3 in final 2:11.
Big Board
1. Vontae Mack no matter what!!

Return to Charlotte Hornets
