D-League Coaching Movement...

Post#1 » by mnWI » Wed Jul 29, 2009 2:56 am

So Dee Brown will supposedly be named the head coach of the Springfield Armor tomorrow. Larry Krystkowiak was offered the Idaho job, and turned it down, but is supposedly still mulling it over. If he turns it down, I expect Randy Livingston to be named head coach. Chucky Brown will be taking over in LA for Dan Pinnagio. Bakersfield gave their media 50% voting power to choose their finalists. Bob MacKinnon probably gets that job.

Solid choice for the other new franchise in New England.... when compared to the first one. Brown was quite bad in the WNBA, but at least he was there!

Krystkowiak was out of his depth as a NBA coach, but he's a knowledgeable guy.

Bakersfield giving their media voting power is funny. McKinnon deserves a job after his accomplishment last season.

Also was just informed a minute ago that Robert Pack has been hired by the New Orleans Hornets as player development coach. He was in the running for the Rio Grande Valley job and was an assistant there last year.

Larry K is up for a job with the Suns, if he doesn't get it he's taking the Idaho job.

Rio Grande Valley is hiring former Virginia coach Dave Leitao.

I like the way the Bakersfield Jam is handling their business letting the fans get involved with the team.

Larry K and Leito both turned down the jobs. Bob MacKinnon is getting Idaho from the sounds of it, there will be a press conference this week.

Larry K needs to be in college. He turned down the Utah job to be an assistant in Milwaukee. An upper mid-level position at a school where he can get to the tourney consistently and get a high end college job would be ideal. Something along the lines of a CUSA or A10 job. Maybe even WCC.
