His Poison Pill Provision did not have much of an impact on the deal. The reason is because the Nets were sending out much more in salary than they were taking back, so covering the extra salary was no problem. However it did reduce the amount of the Trade Exception that New Jersey was able to get, for a breakdown of the trade see the KVH thread:

But here is what I have Devin's numbers as:

Devin Harris' current salary is $3,995,003
He signed a 5yr $42.35M contract
So his Poison Pill amount is $7,724,167 which is calculated (42,350,000+3,995,003)/6
