Here is my first round mock. This mock is what I think the teams will do, not what they should do. I am factoring in trades but I can very well be wrong.
1. Chicago Bulls – PG Derrick Rose, Memphis

29. Golden State Warriors (from Detroit Pistons) – PF Jason Thompson, Rider University
30. Boston Celtics – SG/SF Bill Walker, Kansas State University
Trade Predictions:
No mock draft, in my opinion, is complete without trades. In this draft especially, trades will play a huge role. Here are some blockbusters I can see happening.
Miami Heat/Seattle SuperSonics
MIA trades: #2, Mark Blount
SEA trades: #4, Chris Wilcox, Johan Petro
Los Angeles Clippers/Minnesota Timberwolves
LAC trades: #6, Cuttino Mobley, Tim Thomas, future first protected (Top 5 protected 2009, Top 3 2010, Unprotected 2011)
MIN trades: #3, Marko Jaric, Antione Walker
Rasheed Wallace to Golden State Warriors
DET trades: #29, Rasheed Wallace
GSW trades: #14, Al Harrington, Kosta Perovic
New Jersey/Portland
NJ trades: #10, #21, Marcus Williams, Trenton Hassell
POR trades: #13, Martell Webster, Channing Frye, Jarret Jack (obtained by trade exception), rights to Joel Freeland
Richard Jefferson to Los Angeles Lakers
NJ trades: Richard Jefferson, Trenton Hassell
LAL trades: Lamar Odom, Trevor Ariza
Michael Redd to Cleveland Cavaliers
MIL trades: Michael Redd
CLE trades: Wally Szcerbiak, Anderson Varejao
New York Knicks/Memphis Grizzles
MEM: #28
NYK: Cash considerations
Should be an interesting draft/will tivo it (Less than Jake @ Roseland. I’m not missing that)!

Re: My Mock Draft (with trades)
Portland certainly does add in a lot of assets, but I don't know if they would do that for DJ and I don't know if New Jersey would do that trade with Lopez still on the board.

Re: My Mock Draft (with trades)
Detroit would rather roll with Sheed/Thompson than Harrington/Perovic/Jordan.
It's a nice mock overall though and some good thought put into it. Nice job.
