Shaq seems like the best pick here, really annoying to match up with him in this pool as nobody wants to spend their All-NBA on a defensive center

The fact that he fell that far after I took Reggie annoys me, but it also sorta makes me feel like it didn't matter what I did.

Could be an unpopular take, but I prefer a shooter with Stock/Malone.

Butler and Murray were the two individuals I strongly considered. I just didn't want to be restricted by Butler's lack of outside shooting or Murray's relatively high cost for a PG. You can definitely build around both of those limitations, but it gets dicier when you have this long of a wait for your next pick(s).

Yeah, you kind of have to play it safe with the first pick in an unpredictable draft like this.

I actually considered a core that included Butler. That ship has sailed now though.

Murray is hard to peg because it's clear he benefits immensely by playing next to Jokic. The question is how much does a scorer of Murray's caliber benefit by playing next to, dare I say, the best offensive player we have ever seen.
