Teams coming home after a 20 day road trip very rarely win in the first game at home.

Doesn't look good, I'm afraid.

I think the Raptors will play the same defense they did in San Antonio, and Rip is the only Piston over 20 points in a losing cause.

If we win we will get some respect, if we get blown out, we will look pretty bad in our first ESPN game of the last millennium.

Go, Raptors! I really hope you win this one. This is going to be the first of Detroit's 4 game losing streak.

I'd actually like to see Delfino have a nice game...in a losing cause, of course. :-)

He never really fit in w/ Detroit, but I always liked his game; solid defensively, good rebounder, wiling passer. His scoring just never came around like I expected. Part of that was because we tried to make him into a spot up shooter, but he also just never really took that next step. He could get into the paint but couldn't ever finish.

Anyway, should be a good game. I'll be curious to see if we try and keep our starters rested for Boston. Stuckey & Maxiell could potentially get a lot of run this game. And that Sheed/Bosh matchup should be a good one.

 I think we should let Rip and Billups get theirs. Can't let their supporting players like McDice have a good game tho.

btw, i am excited to see the Moon Prince matchup. I actually think they resemble each other in terms of offense. While Prince plays smarter defense.

imo, the only thing they have in common, are the size and the long arms.

Letting Rip and Billups get theirs means the Pistons win. When Detroit loses, it's usually because our backcourt stinks.

prince is just in the right system. If he's on the raptors he'll fair not much better than Moon right now. Shaky jumpshot... check. Very Occasionally drive to the basket... check. Both are medicore at finishing around the basket. Ability wise they are not far from each other. Prince, again is much better with position and IQ.

I am not saying they are clones. let's just say I think Moon is a Prince Lite.

And I've given hope on our backcourt already in terms of defense. Calderon is NOT going to slow down Billups. Rip is going to abuse our defensive mistake which happens so very often. Only way to counter their offensive output is to match it with our own.

Hopefully Delfi plays disciplined ball and doesn't chuck too many shots against his former team.
