What to do with Bruce?

Post#1 » by Public_Enemy101 » Sun May 12, 2024 9:04 pm

You think he’s worth keeping with this core or do you try trading him for some picks?

Personally I don’t see him fitting well with a rebuilding team.

Bruce and Poeltl can GTFO. We need to get whatever asset we can for them and bottom out. Olynik too if he has trade value by the deadline.

What's Brandon Ingram's value right now?

Trade if possible, maybe to a team like OKC for pick, otherwise keep.

Free Bruce Brown! He deserves to play meaningful minutes next season.

Masai will pick up his option, fail to trade him due to his constant need to get maximum value, and he will be traded for peanuts at the deadline next year.

Bruce Brown probably isn't going to fetch much in a trade

I think with us not getting our own pick there is a good chance we trade Bruce on Draft night.... Lots of teams like Miami, New York, Denver etc that would want him and now we won't be as disinterested in a 2024 first round pick.

Yup. But our management held onto him thinking his value would rise. Otherwise, why didn’t they trade him last season? Ineptitude.

Maybe they thought they could trade Bruce to Atlanta for the 1st?

19 + bruce + boucher for wiggins + moody.

Podz replaced moody, 19 replaces moody. bruce is well slotted as kumingas backup and mentor. boucher is a perfect fit off the bench in san fran. Warriors save tax dollars…. maybe? Lol

Let wiggins hit corner threes and defend p.o.a and leave him alone lol

Rj quick wiggins barnes jakub

Dick/moody - veteran pg - acbaji/moody - kelly - rim runner

Thats a top 6 team

Rj and barnes are legit.

Surround them and the kids with winning veterans. Wiggins, jakub, kelly and a veteran pg would be excellent.

Lets go.

Flip for a pick or a younger role player seems like the only option.

I'm still stunned that it was Bruce Brown all along!!!!

All this time, Blake Griffin was catching all the flack, and he just took all the crap.

The only place where he would be viewed as an asset would be Denver

Thinking Bruce, Pascal and combo guard really had value like THAT is absolutely mad to think.

The Yakub deal is the actual poo on the entire poo sundae.

Trade him to move up, get a swap/pick in 2025 and get back some "bad money". Obviously you can't get all of that for him but you can definitely get at least one of those if you play your cards right.

Just a few examples I wrote about:
Bulls
Spoiler:
Most likely player(s): Lonzo Ball

2021/22 Stats: 13 points, 5.4 rebounds, 5.1 assists | 42.3% FG, 42.3% 3P, 75% FT

Incoming salary: $21.3 million (Net of -1.6 million)

Pick(s) available: 11th pick in 2024 draft, future 1st from Blazers (Lottery protected thru 2028)

Jazz
Spoiler:
Most likely player(s): John Collins

2023/24 Stats: 15.1 points, 8.5 rebounds, 1.1 assists | 53.2% FG\37.1% 3P\79.5% FT

Incoming salary: $26.6 million (Net increase 3.6 million), 3 years | 2 + 1 player option

Pick(s) available: 10th pick in 2024 draft (if owned after the 2024 lottery their pick does not drop to 10), 2025 Timberwolves/Cavaliers 1st

Hawks

Spoiler:
Most likely player(s): De'Andre Hunter

2023/24 Stats: 15.6 points, 3.9 rebounds, 1.5 assists | 45.9% FG\38.5% 3P\84.7% FT

Incoming salary: $21.7 million (Net of -$1.3 million for the 1st year)

Pick(s) available: 2025 Kings 1st

Post-lottery I think you can write off trading for the Hawks pick but the 2025 Kings 1st is definitely in play.

Wouldn’t be surprised if Lakers try to trade for him with the 17th pick. Would rather not bring in 3 rookies from this draft class but I’d be cool with it if we packaged the picks to move up for a pick in the Top 10-12 range though

Big if given the Lakers would need to send back someone to make the money work but I don't mind it in theory.

Trade him now for literally anything any team will give…which I’m guessing is a second and some bad contract.
