Will Masai Tank 4 Flagg?
Team clearly still shopping for a bonafide #1.
Does Masai have the cojones to sacrifice another year for the chance to grab a generational talent to pair with Scottie, now that we own our pick again?

Should he tank you mean? Yes.
Organization can be defined as an organized body of people with a particular purpose. Not random.

Re: Will Masai Tank 4 Flagg?
If the team is bad enough that it can even contemplate tanking for Flagg at the end of next year (assume bottom 6 to simplify the scenarios), that means Scottie ain't it, that this core is going nowhere and that they're faced with the prospect of trading away one of (if not all) RJ, IQ and Scottie.
That is, unless you're proposing trading away multiple pieces before the season starts.

Because tanking is the sure route to success in this league. What did Atlanta get by being in the play-in?

With our luck we're going to end up as a play-in team and get the 14th pick which we promptly trade for a non-needle moving player and everyone eats it up like its a brilliant 9000d chess move.
Signed with team T.W.O for the 2022-23 2023-24 season.

The 10th seed just won the lottery, tanking by the definition everyone wants to imply is a myth now. The lottery odds flattened changed alla that

I honestly think it's hilarious the Hawks won the lottery in such a bad draft year.
Even when they're lucky, they're unlucky.

Cooper Flagg probably won't even be consensus #1 by the time the next draft comes around.

Just like the Raptors in 2006. I remember the Globe suggesting we draft Adam Morrison with the #1.

We should probably tank. Or at least acquire more 1st round picks somehow. Otherwise this is a Colangelo style “rebuild”.

**** yes. LETS GOOOOOO!
Let Scottie and Gradey get a million possessions and grow. Trade Poeltl for whatever you can. Grow the value of IQ and RJ. Draft someone good next draft.

You think Scottie signs up for a long-term contract if it's looking like they're going to be a ~25 win team again, with RJ, IQ?
I'd be exploring my options. If next year doesn't work out, you're looking at a full reset.

Flagg isn't the only top prospect available.
I can already see it now, these geniuses are gonna bring up Atlanta going up in the draft all season like they did with the once in a life time Kawhi trade as evidence that pushing for mediocrity is okay.

Ace Bailey and Dylan Harper would be amazing!!!
Is don't move up Nolan Traore or Andrej Stojakovic would be good gets.
I think this year is the only to get a PF/C with #19 or the 2nd rounder.

Re: Will Masai Tank 4 Flagg?
Considering Masai tanked in 23/24 for the Spurs, you would think he'll tank in 24/25.......right?
Wrong. Masai will gaslight you. He'll say tanking creates a losing culture, he will push for the play-in but we'll finish 11th

We know that we are especially bad without a decent center. So, if Masai trades Jak, then that's telling.
Otherwise, I think we are pushing for the play-in.

You're missing the option of Masai doesnt have the stones to tank.
Props TZ!
