Told ya, the NBA and the Gambling industry were salivating at this opportunity to look like they have integrity.

What Jontay did was a dumb mistake and he'll pay far greater then the crime he committed. But the NBA had no choice with such a massive money making scam going on in an already suspect league.

Hope Jontay gets support from those around him to move on.

Go to prison? You think he attempted to murder someone the way some here talk.

The only reason he's even getting the severe punishment as severe as he is, is because he NBA has no room to look soft with so much money to be made from gambling.

Really dumb move by Porter. Predictable Silver would never do this to a superstar. He's clearly railroading a scrub to send a message to the rest of the league.

Can we stop with the hosts of every sporting event covering the betting odds on pregame shows? This was bound to happen with the constant focus on it of late.

I think in general if you try to scam a business entity, you're going to get a worse punishment than if you do something criminal to another person. It's not just the NBA but how North America works in general
