Watching Siakam cook makes me so sad about getting fleeced in that trade. We got 3 garbage picks and a player who has no value.

Such a sad story. Not as bad as the Jak trade but it’s bad especially given Siakam’s history with the team.

Hell, JJ should still do it. 3-4 year deal, 8M/yr probably, and with or without LeBron, likely fired after one season. Very nice cash. Then he can go back to being a podster again.

Don’t think JJ needs the money. He’s doing fine with his podcast and ESPN money. Also the Lakers are very cheap and $8m is reserved for the top NBA coaches. Lakers lost out on Ty Lue because they lowballed him and offered 3 year deal when most coaches these days expect 5 years. JJ just wants to get into pro coaching. The Lakers aren’t a good situation for any coach to go into.

I’m just mainly surprised that there’s a belief that Mitchell wants to stay.

But either way, no matter which guard they trade CLE is taking a step back next season. If Mitchell stays they could still be a near mid playoff team but if it’s Garland they’ll be a PlayIn team.

But either way Mobley is going to have to majorly step up if they’re gonna be remotely relevant moving forward. I’m still struggling to believe Mitchell is willing to use up his prime on doing what exactly with CLE?! Such a weird turn in the franchise’s trajectory.
