Oh yeah, I just learned of that having some credibility, too. Add him to the list.

I didn't even think about it before. Mainly because I thought they probably want to keep Haslem around, but with his contract, it has legitimacy.

I'd be over-joyed if we got Haslem. I adore his game. Losing Elson's mobility and ability to defend Dirk would be replaced with Haslem's even more proven ability to do so. Plus what else he brings.

again, i highly doubt that they go that route (especially with haslem), but if he is really on the block, i think you have to make a play for him.

and dont forget about joe smith. while he doesnt quite offer the same qualities that make foster and haslem so appealing, hes shown to be a more than serviceable player his entire career. and if the price is cheap, i wouldnt complain about him either.

What is sad is that Smith has been the Bulls best player some nights...

I also like Smith as an option.

I like the way Robert Horry has been playing defensively and on the boards lately..he could still help this team..

I haven't doubted him, he just needs to get into enough of a form and rhythm, then go from there. His defense has been there more, recently, but lately his shooting has been coming around too. So, he's coming on as a whole now.

It's good to hear that Horry is coming along in trying to regain some of his abilities back in helping the Spurs. It still need to make a couple of solid moves to upgrade their roster.

In my opinion, you guys don't need to make any moves...any major ones at least

Well outside of our big three I am sure Pop would entertain a trade for bit parts if some team is having a fire sale like what is going on with Memphis.

Udonis Haslem for Brent Barry, Ian Mahinmi, Tiago Splitter and a future first round pick.

Splitter isn't going anywhere, unless there's an extremely good offer..

that would be almost 4/5th the way to the same deal that landed gasol: expirings and then 4 1st worth of assets(JC, 2 1sts, rights to marc gasol). and that was a team desperate to make to dump gasol.

so how is haslem going to fetch that kind of value?

The Spurs board might need to create a thread that says Spliiter ain't going nowhere.

I have a trade here.

Barry and Bonner

For

Q. Rich and a 2008 second round pick for the Knicks.

I know Q Rich hasn't been the same scorer since his PHX days. Consider that he's playing with the Knicks unfortunately. With the lack of ball movement to make him effective in taking shots. no wonder he's been crappy the last two seasons. If the Spurs make a move for this guy, they get back a scorer who can shoot the three ball, slash a bit and knack for solid rebounding. Rich made not be know for his better defense, but he will make an effort to play it.

He's actually a pretty good defender from what I've learned. I wouldn't mind Q-Rich, but I'd prefer Miller/Artest or another big man.

Only thing with Q-Rich is the back problems there sometime now for a little while. I like his game, though.

That's a concern I have as well is his back history problems. As for his defense, if his D has improve, then that's good. As for Mike Miller, I can see why the SPurs would want him. He can bring the ball up the court, knock down the three ball and can provide solid rebounding. He's a better help defender than a one on one defender. Also don't expect him to be clutch in the crucial moments. Let that to your Big 3.

Yeah, I've watched the Knicks randomly over the last few years, getting MSG, and he's been a pretty consistent defender for the Knicks. Did a pretty solid job against Kobe like a week ago. Their best veteran defender.

That's pretty good. Too bad the Knicks are still stuck in the Atlantic Division basement.

He was beastly in college... a 20/10 guy... nowadays he is just a 3 point jumpshooter. I wouldn't mind him if he committed to helping out on the boards. I think he is a very underutilized player on all the teams that he has been on.

Compare Q rich:

and
http://www.82games.com/0708/07NYK6A.HTM
I particularly like the EFG% of .415

to Barry
http://www.82games.com/0708/07SAS7C.HTM
and
http://www.82games.com/0708/07SAS7A.HTM
EFG% .630

Q rich is also on a much more expensive long term contract (until end of 09/10). He's vastly overpaid... Who do you want on our team again?

If NY wants to move richardson for expirings, they are going to have to give up MUCH more than a single second round pick.
