8-of-12 this week, some missed with some Brazilians losing... etc...
FOTN - Murphy Decision W over Barboza - Great varied performance where Lerone dominated distance and damage, grappling, and evasion.
top performance - Angela Hill's sub over Pinheiro, she is always getting better and is such dog. Can't count her out even though her record has many losses to it.
silver star - Khaos Williams with an amazing KO over Carlston Harris. Starched, he could've been submitted if it went to ground.... It didn't, he's a name for the WW division to follow. [I picked this one wrong]
big win - Abus Magomedov - I maybe foolishly was on his hype train, but it was a good sign for him to make it through a dominant decision win without gassing out and controlling the damage well. He had dipped significantly after Strickland's KO over him.
Best stoppage - Adrian Yañez with a right hook to send Vincinius Salvador to the shadow realm. Good form, perfect placement.
Please no more - Some interesting moments this card with Piera Rodrigues dominating the fight vs Carnelossi but was warned against an un-intentional headbutt while in top position. Moments later she then proceeded to move her head down to gain more control, and ended up kind of intentionally headbutting Carnelossi again. The fight was stopped and Carnelossi couldn't continue after 5 minutes, giving her a DQ Win. The bad look ? She had just been upkicked in the chin and was probably lights out anyways. IT was awkward and yes, by rule the right decision. I think ref should've taken 1 point instead of DQ W for Carnelossi (who again, was REALLY behind in the fight by all accounts and looked to play off the head butt by appearing knocked out). Okay, so I don't want to say I could take a headbutt, intentional or not, but the straight kick she blocked with her chin obviously was the more damaging attack. Sad to see.
In other news, Dom Cruz on the call with Felder isn't so bad, they are pretty even. Fitzgerald is a good moderator with them.
Get better soon - Tamires Vidal's chest was punched and she asked for a ref to step in, as though it was a low-blow, and was counted out as a TKO. Ouch on both parts. The fight was pretty tit-for-tat until that point.
HM Tom Nolan dominated in his bout today.
