Amundson or H. Hill to be waived?

Post#1 » by The Sixer Fixer » Mon Jan 7, 2008 9:54 pm

Anyone think there's a chance either will be waived today? Today is the day when non-guaranteed contracts become guaranteed for the rest of the season. I think both guys are currently working with non-guaranteed deals.

I don't see any way we waive Hill, but Amundson is another story. He got in his first game in forever last night (coincidence?). Any chance that was his last opportunity to impress Ed before he has to make a decision?

Not a big deal either way because he has virtually no role on this team.

We're not close to the tax and so I don't expect either to be waived.

Bobby Jones, on the other hand, was waived by the Nuggets.

I figured Ed might want an open roster spot to give someone from the D League (or another waived player) a shot at some point. Might want to bring in someone for a 10 day contract. I think with Amundson we are maxed out in roster spots right now.

All good points but it doesn't seem like anything is happening. Hopefully Ed will free up a roster spot when he makes his next deal.

Amundson got court time in Denver yesterday because he is from nearby Boulder.

Amundson is just not good...hell likely not be with us next year...as well as Shav.

Denver is pinching pennies to avoid paying luxury tax. We don't have that problem. (unless we have another one of those accounting errors again. Seriously wtf was that?)

BK probably hired the accountant.

Ed has no allegiance to either player so either of them can be waived. Having to choose between either of those players, I would have to say Amundson is waived. Hill's been injured so no one knows how he'll play at this level.
