Pacers lost to Cavs so I think most likely scenario is we’re in three way tie.. and thus 7th seed.

Is there any chance Milwaukee beats Orlando?

Updated after Cavs beat Pacers and after the Heat win.

If Sixers beat Nets:
If Pacers lose to Hawks, then Sixers are 5 seed. (Possibly tied with Magic, but Sixers win tiebreaker.)

If Pacers beat Hawks and Magic lose to Bucks, then Sixers are 6 seed. (Tied with Pacers and lose tiebreaker.)

If Pacers beat Hawks and Magic beat Bucks, then Sixers are 7 seed. (3-way tie with Pacers and Magic. Magic win the tie because they are division winners, and then Sixers lose to Pacers head-to-head.)

If Sixers lose to Nets:
If Magic beat Bucks, then Sixers are 7/8 seed.

If Magic lose to Bucks, Pacers beat Hawks, and Heat beat Raptors again, then it's a 3-way tie with the Magic and the Heat.* Pacers aren't in the tie and are the 5 seed. Heat get 6 seed, Sixers get 7 seed, Magic get 8 seed.

If Magic lose to Bucks, Pacers lose to Hawks, and Heat beat Raptors again, then it's a 4-way tie with Pacers/Sixers/Heat/Magic.** Heat are 5 seed, Sixers are 6 seed, Magic are 7 seed, Pacers are 8 seed.

If Magic lose to Bucks, Pacers beat Hawks, and Heat lose to Raptors, then Sixers are 6 seed. (Tied with Magic and win tiebreaker.)

If Magic lose to Bucks, Pacers lose to Hawks, and Heat lose to Raptors, then Sixers are 7 seed. (Same tie as above, where it's first Magic, then Pacers, then Sixers.)

===

* 3-way tiebreaker with Heat and Magic. Division leaders go first. Heat and Magic tie for division lead, and Heat win the tiebreaker to win the division. Then Sixers win the tiebreaker versus the Magic.
Heat 2-1 vs Sixers, 3-1 vs Magic. 5-2 overall.
Sixers 3-0 vs Magic, 1-2 vs Heat. 4-2 overall.
Magic 0-3 vs Sixers, 1-3 vs Heat. 1-6 overall.

** 4-way tiebreaker with Pacers, Heat and Magic. Division leaders go first. Heat and Magic tie for division lead, and Heat win the tiebreaker to win the division and the 5 seed. Now that the Magic aren't division winners, Sixers win the 3-way tie among the Magic, Pacers, and Sixers. (Note that they lose this exact same tie is the scenario above where the Magic are the division winners.) Then Magic beat the Pacers in the head-to-head tiebreaker.

Heat 2-1 vs Sixers, 3-1 vs Magic, 1-2 vs Pacers.
Sixers 3-0 vs Magic, 1-2 vs Heat, 1-2 vs Pacers.
Magic 0-3 vs Sixers, 1-3 vs Heat, 2-1 vs Pacers.
Pacers 2-1 vs Sixers, 1-2 vs Magic, 2-1 vs Heat.

Sixers 3-0 vs Magic, 1-2 vs Pacers. 4-2 overall.
Magic 0-3 vs Sixers, 2-1 vs Pacers. 2-4 overall.
Pacers 2-1 vs Sixers, 1-2 vs Magic. 3-3 overall.

It’s gonna be a street fight with Knicks in round 1. Nothing gonna be easy lol.

Im rooting for the Magic to make it to the second round. Celts seems to have some trouble in their match-ups against their switchable line-ups.

We’re fine against teams that dont play double big. But it wont be easy for knicks plays hard every possession.

Another way to look at it... there are 4 relevant games with us and the 3 teams we could end up tied with:
1. Sixers v Nets
2. Magic v Bucks
3. Pacers v Hawks
4. Heat v Raptors

Let "W" mean that the first team listed wins. Here are the possible outcomes:
WWWW = play-in
WWWL = play-in
WWLW = 5 seed
WWLL= 5 seed
WLWW = 6 seed
WLWL = 6 seed
WLLW= 5 seed
WLLL= 5 seed
LWWW= play-in
LWWL= play-in
LWLW= play-in
LWLL= play-in
LLWW = play-in
LLWL = 6 seed
LLLW = 6 seed
LLLL = play-in

Short version:
* If we win, we escape the play-in unless the Magic and Pacers both win.
* If Magic and Pacers do both win, we're in the play-in no matter what.
* If we lose, we need the Magic to lose and exactly one of the Pacers and Heat to win so that we end up in either a 2-way or 4-way tie with the Magic. We lose the 3-way tie, but we're safe in a 2-way or 4-way tie with the Magic.

Bucks own tiebreaker over Knicks
Bucks own tie breaker over Cleveland I think

Two teams have incentive to lose bucks knicks Cleveland Sunday.

Only team incentive to win is Orlando and Diana .

The Magic and Pacers have a lot more incentive to win their last game than their opponents do. However, there's a decent chance that the Hawks and Bucks give bench players a chance to play. Those bench players might not just be playing for a playoff seed... they could be playing for their careers in the one game where they get 20+ minutes. Those sorts of players can be very dangerous. But they're also not as good as the starters... anything could happen.

Yes. A hawks win basically assures BOTH sixers and heat get in at 5/6.

So pacers/magic drop to 7/8.

But I don’t think hawks want to even be in the playoffs even as 8 seed cause Boston awaits

I saw a tweet by Bontemps that read the 76ers get the 6th seed with a win and a Magic loss or Pacers win. I think it is more than likely they will be the 6th seed.

Edit, he probably meant either or. As 3 way tie would have them 7th.

The real question is how motivated are the bucks to stay at 2.

With Giannis injury. They just need to buy time. Getting out of the first round the the priority right now. So doesn’t matter if they are 2/3/4. It’s still home court.

They can worry about Boston in 2nd round.
But it’s a much tougher matchup with heat or sixers 2 vs 7.

So a Lost to magic can drop bucks down to 4. This will assure magic a 5 seed.

The Cavs have the tiebreaker over the Bucks because of division record. If they tie the Cavs win the Central. If the Bucks lose and the Cavs and Knicks win the Bucks will be 4.

Bucks want magic.

Probably get them either way. Do they want Celtics in round 2?

That's almost right, but we also miss out if the Heat win and we end up in a 3- way tie with the Magic and Heat.

The magic is a great young team but they're gonna suffer a lot on the playoffs and i struggle to not see them getting swept.

The minute someone plays zone on them they're done. Paolo is not efficient to carry a great scoring load either. (yet?)

Pretty sure Joel plays, but since his stats mean nothing in regards to rewards, he could learn to play a little more decoy on offense. Draw and kick, and jump shots only unless it gets closer than it needs to be. Protect the rim and rebound. Get out of this game healthy.
