Does anyone know which pick we get in the draft. I see us tied with Orlando, Miami, Pacers and the Lakers. Yet the Pacers and Orlando don't have to play a play-in game?

OK so I just did a little more research so if I'm correct the 76ers pick will be based on a random drawing? So we can end up with the same win total as other teams but have to play a play-in game because of a formula based on wins and loses, division standings etc. But when it comes to the draft it is a random drawing?
The Accession of Paul Reed is upon us !

Bring on the draft

You want it to be one way....but it's the other way.

Yeah but that does not seem right. Out of all the teams with identical records the 76ers end up with the lowest pick?! Why what did we do....again? Is Silver saying you did so well with the Maxey pick, do it again.

I think it's just a coin flip at the end of the day. Where tankathon has us doesn't matter at this point.

1) Four 1sts for Mitchell
2) Use remaining cap space (~$30-32 mil) to sign Melton, Oubre, Kyle Anderson
3) Use room exception on Royce O'Neale
4) Use vet mins on Lowry, Batum, and Muscala (or Drummond)

Maxey/Melton/Lowry
Mitchell/O'Neale/Council
Oubre/Batum/(project)
Anderson/Reed/(project)
Embiid/Muscala/(project)
2023-2024 Philadelphia 76ers:

Lowry/Payne/Downtin
Maxey/Melton/Hield
Oubre/Batum/Council
Harris/Covington/Martin
Embiid/Reed/Bamba

Shake Milton who's, ego has taken a blow this season, will be available. Shake knows the players on this squad, he is not a small guard and can fill it up from time to time. I say bring him home.

I think he'll recover, they're just being super cautious with him. The only positive of him being injured is he can likely be re-signed for a cheap, short prove-it deal.

I'm all about bringing back Melton on a 1-year vet min. He has incentive to stay here to keep his Bird Rights intact assuming no team wants to pay him this summer.

-Build around Batum, Oubre and Maxey. Age is just a number, you can't teach heart and passion.
-Trade Embiid and Harris, we can get a lot of picks for Embiid and rebuild in a short time.
Great takes since 2024-04-20

Easy answer.

You leave Paul George where he is. Leave Siakam. Sign all of the Sixers free agents to reasonable deals, and perhaps overpay Batum in terms of cash per year not in years... using bird rights. If he's making 8- 11 million, he will play. All of their free agents should be available for lesser years, and between 10 to 19 million. Meaning Oubre, Tobi, Hield, Melton maybe Batum gets paid in that range... They did it for Pj Tucker for 3 damn years, not 1. Keep Lowry for the cheap, and maybe Payne too.

Not to rain on the Batum parade, but a troubling stat this year:

4 games (2 starts), 91 minutes (22 mpg), 10 fouls, 0 points vs Knicks this year.

Doesn't really matter much, if they need Batum to carry them again, they won't win nor would they deserve to.
