I’ll be interested to see his role in a playoff environment. He’s actually never played a playoff game before.

I could see him getting played off the court because of his defense & I could also see him swinging a playoff game by scoring 30.

I actually like Hield and think he's a great fit for the team, but this can't be the only move if Morey in intent on contending this year, right?

I don't mind it. I feel like its slightly steep but at least no 1sts were harmed.

Future Sixers Buddy Heild has finally become reality.

I'm not going to destroy the fraud for this trade. two of the 2nd rounders are in 2029. Here's hoping this works out better than George Hill. Hield is an upgrade.

I think they're holding on to their 1sts and keeping their powder dry for a home run move. Whether that's now or draft day or... never :/

Either way I would either expect a huge move (which doesnt seem like its happening today) or just moves of this caliber.

Morey's genius 2022 offseason still paying dividends. What an awesome signing that Danuel House was. PJ Tucker and Danuel House, what a great group of acquisitions that summer had.

We get his bird rights correct? Don’t hate that at all. Buddy will be better than the scrap heap roster filler we can get for the minimum/partial MLE

House was on an expiring $4.3M contract.

Philadelphia now has 2 open roster spots and now $2.7M below the luxury tax.

The 76ers are well below the first apron also.

We needed a deadeye shooter and Buddy Hield is exactly that. We rank what? 27th in three-point shooting? Clearly we aren't keeping up with the rest of the league. I would have rather us trade for Lonnie Walker who is younger than Hield, but this is fine. Three 2nd round picks is a lot to give up, and I hope we can keep Hield beyond this season. Marcus Morris was giving us nothing and he's well on his way out of this league. Hield at least still wants to play basketball. Good running mate for Maxey in the backcourt, but the defense is going to be bad.

I do think this is more a of "next season" type of move. Hield fits great in theory with a healthy Joel Embiid. There's no way Morey did this just to rent Hield for two months while this team flounders towards the play-in without Embiid. There has to be some long term thinking here involved.

Thank God Danuel House is no longer a Sixer. We've added Hield while ridding this team of three players that either didn't want to be here or didn't care about playing hard anymore. It's a win in my book. If this is all we do today, I'm happy with that. I could not stand another minute of House, Kork, and Morris. Those guys were bad mojo for this team. Not so much Kork, he just didn't want to be here, but House and Morris were horrible.
