Quite a bit for an expiring player.

Is what it is, I guess.

He is a starter or a 6th man, it is a fair.

Last year Thomas Bryant who is terrible also was 3 second round picks.

Will this push Melton to the bench?

We’re about to burn 3 2nds and let him walk in the summer, huh?

He’s a good & helpful player so I’m happy to have him & it'll give Maxey a running mate with real gravity. Probably a decent player for Maxey to learn some off ball tricks from too. Can’t guard a soul but he’s really fun to watch when he gets cooking.

It concerns me that Morey may actually think he's going to get a FA worth a damn this summer. Scary stuff!

There you go, three 2nd rounders for a UFA rental. That's the market. And as Hield's not a good defender, it's hard to see how he plays alongside Maxey. So we might have just traded three 2nd rounders for a several-month rental of a 6th man.

Here's hoping for the best.

So a quasi-late first in the upcoming draft. Pretty good for Indiana.

I mean, we needed an spacer who could take pressure from Maxey, specially with Melton out. Not using a first is a plus in my book

Outside of that, not too many of those guys offer too much defense, unless we can get Brown/Carusso somehow.

If this is the only move, however, yeah, that's bad.

He needs to shoot 10 threes a game.

I think Hield is a good player that really boost our 3pt volume. But defensively a poor match with Maxey so could raise the ceiling of the non-Maxey minutes, but not really a game changer in the PO. Those 2nd round picks could turn into actually decent value, so I do think this hurts a bit. Without any further moves I am not thrilled with this deal.
