I can't believe people thought KJ Martin was a good prospect

I was one of them, or at least I thought he could hold some potential. DIdn't watch tonight's game, and I realize that his very small/short stat line (5 points on 2-3 shooting, 1 rebound, 1 block, +4 +/- rating in 6 minutes) can't tell anything on its own, so what specific things made him a non-prospect tonight? I'm not doubting your take, just asking for specifics cause I can't bring myself to watch much these days.

Listen, I refuse to get excited about what will mathematically end up being like the 12th pick in the draft. Even that would require going 3-30 the rest of the way, kinda like a Trailblazers style tank from last year in order to get that.

Not only tonight...

Has no jumper, doesn't even try 3s unless he's trying to beat the clock, is a bad defender, and cannot drive to the basket on traffic.

His only plus is when he cuts from the corner after someone attacks the rim.

He has really great athleticism but nothing else.

Given the fact we also have a tough shedule ahead, it's pretty normal to think Miami, Indiana and Orlando can catch up with us.
