Did we trade Batum for Tucker last night?

I wonder if this will entice Nurse to play him with Embiid. God knows it would help with our rebounding issues.

I said this last year as well, but have given up on the idea any coaching staff will do it.

Dont Reed has to agree on any trade he’s involved with?

Me too this offseason. I've pretty much given up on the team's intent to develop B-Ball Paul but this is the kind of game about which many of us dreamed. Probably just an aberration.

I didn't watch tonight's game. Was he really going up against Jokic? Why didn't Jokic shoot more?

Why are we talking about Reed's trade value? what we need is to trade Embiid ASAP, it is evident this dude cannot play at high altitude for ****, do we want a player who cannot be expected to play against Denver or Utah in an eventual NBA finals? this is a dude who cannot get past 2nd round like ever, which is a red flag in itself, but if he actually got past it, now we have another huge red flag, two teams where he is useless against.
Let's just try as hard as possible to win him another MVP to increase his trade value "oh he has the same number of MVP as Giannis and Jokic" and then go get dat warchest.

He wasn't always guarding Jokic. KJ Martin actually did the best guarding him. We did get playoff Paul tonight though. He was everywhere on both ends. He rotated on defense. There was a few times where he didn't get up on Murray or Porter and got burned, but other than that he was great defensively. Like I said, he's a touch late at times on recovery and closeouts, but who isn't.

Offensively he was awesome. He took 4 threes, made two of them. He hit from the mid range and scored off of put backs and drop offs in the dunker spot. Guy played great! That shot is butt ugly, but it's going in and I think Nurse needs to play him with Embiid for stretches because it's going to help our rebounding big time. We got killed with the offensive boards again tonight. Definitely need another big man that can get the ball out there. It's maddening watching us get killed on the boards every night. Between that and our suspect 2-3 zone defense are what's going to do us in come playoff time.

But yeah...Reed was awesome tonight. So was Beverley. Oubre did some great things for us on offense but continues to screw up in coverage. KJ Martin did great guarding Joker. He might actually be able to be used as a small ball 4/5 because he's so athletic. Glad to see him getting minutes. Just wish his three ball was money. He'd get paid!

I see you've been eating the crayons again. Did you ever get that starting fluid habit under control?

At this point I'm a little bit reluctant to trade any future assets just to build around Joel Embiid.

Either he is too injury prone or under performed on big moment or both. Just not a guy worth to be believed if your goal is to win a title.

I mean, if he at least had a history of being a great playoff performer, where you just hope "this will be the season where he is healthy and we win it all", but one just needs to watch his playoffs last season, and especially game 7, this dude will never carry us to the promised land.

Apparently it's normal that a professional basketball player that happens to be the current MVP and your best player, is not able to play at high altitude, no issues whatsoever, gotcha.

With Milwaukee and Boston both recently losing games, winning this one today would have been a nice step forward for us. Seems like every time we get close to catching them, we take a loss because Embiid sits. I'm not happy about him sitting either, but I try to look at the entire team and not just him.

Embiid is a ****, doesn't play even after he publically saying he wanted to play against Joker in Denver....he's not even worthy (again) of an MVP

Kawhi & PG staying healthy for 82 games + playoffs & Harden will crumble under pressure like he always does. They look amazing right now but I’m still skeptical.

Yeah, I don't buy it long-term. they have no depth left, so they need to stay completely healthy throughout the season and playoffs-- all 3 of the older guys plus Zubac and Powell-- to be fully available AND playing at current levels. But we'll see.

They have a chance as currently constructed if they can be healthy at playoff team. The Sixers do not imo without additional moves. In the playoffs depth doesnt matter much. Theis, Westbrook, Coffey, and Powell are plenty bench for the playoffs. Three elite shot creators, a 3 and D guy, one of theb est one on one defenders when he wants to be, a Big Man that can rebound, and a high scoring 6th man.
