Jalen Smith is another guy we can look at in the upcoming FA.

Gross, also he'll never get here, he'll go to Europe first before reporting to us.

Also, if that's our move, lol...

Why wouldn’t he report to us? Am I forgetting something?

Lol

Shots fired at Masai, guess we're not getting Bruce Brown.

That's very clearly his logic. Hopefully he doesn't wait too late. Because I'm sure the price is up on Murray and the 2 guests he'll end up in NY (1 of them).

Though there is hope for all the 2nds and Lavine  definitely should be all 2nds for DeRozan

We better not get stuck with Lavine under any circumstances. We have been waiting five years to get rid of Tobias, so they better not replace him with a worse contract who is probably just as bad a fit.

I'd take on Lavine if I got Pat Williams with him for expirings and a second round pick but that's where I draw the line.

Him and another player were traded to us, and they took like 2 weeks to start playing.

You’d be scheduled to pay a combined $60-70M on those two next season.

I’d rather pay Miles Bridges or Jalen Smith over Pat Williams. Then trade for Rozier or Clarkson instead of Lavine or Dejounte.

If we get Miles Bridges and he can dominate on the court like he does in his home, we’ll be unstoppable!

What I've heard is that the plan is to have Embiid play in the away games and rest him, while allowing Bridges to take charge and dominate during the home games.

That is until Natalie Sago steps in and takes the ball from him. Clearly he's gonna get T'd up.

Tyus is a good Guard, very quiet and organises well, but he's a 6'1" 196 lbs player, and I don't think he'd fit in very well with Maxey in the minutes they share.
What do you think? Defensively we wouldn't be too weak?

6'1"? sounds like the perfect player against Boston!

Just remembered, it was Burks and Glenn Robinson III.

I keep repeating myself, but Cameron Johnson and Bogdan Bogdanovic are both playing really poorly lately, perfect timing to tank their value. Both fan bases seem to be content if they could get a 1st round pick to recoup some value and restructure their roster. That's a big difference compared to the expected costs of Alex Caruso, Bruce Brown, Dejounte Murray and Dorian Finney-Smith.

They're not lockdown defenders, but are both relatively high IQ guys who can fulfill their roles in the defensive scheme. On offense their off ball movement and shooting volume (both >10 3PA per 100 possessions) would add another layer to our scheme. I would really pull the trigger if it would cost us 1 or 2 first round picks, perhaps 1 or 2 second round picks, Springer and expirings.

That would allow us to run a core rotation of:
guards
Maxey, Melton and Bogdanovic
wings
Harris, Johnson and Batum
centers
Embiid, Reed/Bamba

All 6 guards/wings are just really, really solid two-way guys with tons of flexibility for Nick Nurse to play with, depending on matchups, etc. With Beverley, Oubre, KJ Martin there's even more depth if needed due to injuries or specific needs.

For the future we will have some 1st round picks left, solely positive value contracts and we can act as an above the cap team and resign Harris, Batum and Melton for relatively team friendly deals or use the (TP-)MLE for (a) solid contributor(s).

Malcolm Brogdon is another target, but he's making a little bit more than Bogdanovic, which makes it hard to match the salaries with Cov, Morris, Korkmaz, House and Springer. You'd probably have to include Harris.

With that, I don't think we won't beat the Celtics more than two games. We should have a bit more ambition, and it would still be very difficult to beat the Celtics. Mikal Bridges, Caruso, Bruce Brown...but I repeat, I still think we are far from the Celtics' level.

Yeah, we have to be agressive like Bucks did when adding Holiday or Dame this year.

It's what you need to do when you have a top 3 player in his prime. Also Biid is going to be 30, it's not like we have much more runs with him at this level, maybe 2 o 3 more. And that would be the best case scenario if he stays healthy.

We need to add a Mikal Bridges or Dejounte Murray at least.

I don't see what's so gross lol. He obviously not first or second choice but he fills a role and shouldn't be hard to get

Looks like Murray to the Lakers for a 1st and a swap. LA trying to find a 3rd team to take Russell. And I guess Atlanta will take whatever the third team offers, probably an expiring.
