Probably.. non-Maxey minutes:

Springer
Korkmaz
DHJ
KJ Martin
Embiid

anywho

I hope we begin to let Maxey close in close games eventually. Love Biid but even when he isn't up his own ass /tired/ or whatever...he just isn't built for it consistantly. Too big. Too goofy. And too reliant on getting bailed out which refs won't call even if it is legit contact.

Again its the Giannis thing I mentioned. Giannis' lack of bag only gets exposed in those situations so they went to Middleton OR had Jrue handle it and let Giannis be a play finisher.

NOW I also don't know if Maxey is ready for that either...as even tonight there were moments in which Biid got the ball in bailout situations because Maxey couldn't get a look or get the ball at all..which again is also out of Biid's wheelhouse.

But each of the 3 losses have come with Biid trying to do too much and **** it up. He is simply not built for that aspect of that...like litterally built lol as a lot of it fatigue is my guess. THIS DOESN'T MEAN he actually sucks and should be traded. Nor does it mean he is soft and a loser. It is what is it. It was a nice thought that he would be a perfect player but thats not the reality of the situation IMO. Not as he currently is at that weight IMO.

And yet they ended up in same place they have since Butler left - the second round. Amazing how you keep throwing around terms like "championship character" to describe players like Butler and Smart, who have exactly the same amount of rings as Joel Embiid.

I know this board doesn’t like him but Lavine could really help us at the right price.

Agreed but I really hope that some other shot creating wing (which seems to be the Celtics Achilles' heel that we obviously don't have except Oubre) becomes available before the deadline.

Lavine has looked awful this year, has a ridiculous contract, plays no D and has an injury history. Other than that he’s awesome.

A trade is coming. More offense is necessary against good defenses. Hopefully whomever they trade for is just waiting until the expiration of the rule where these expiring deals can be traded for again in combination with other players. 60 days after the trade occurred

It’s really more so you can’t run lineups in which 3 guys are useless off ball or add nothing on offense… allowing it to be even easier to just key on Biid.

Again his flaws are what they are… stop putting him in situations in which it magnifies it

This does not mean Biid can’t play better again I think he just didn’t have it tonight in general BUT having real shooters and athletes can cover for that…and it has this season imo

I don’t get how people are just glossing over how bad those lineups were. Oubre and Batum aren’t world beaters but the simple fact that both are willing shooters or athletic cutters and conective passers opens up so much

**** it sure go ahead trade Biid

I’m sure the usual suspects will move on to Maxey when he doesn’t carry us to a chip too

Tired of this being the only answer philly fans have to any issue… just keep trading guys and never actually build anything lol

-9 and -15 from Embiid in back to back games. Not great. I keep waiting for him to come into the season in the shape a guy like Jokic is.

Its too soon to trade but he refuses to do that last little bit which is to be in the type of shape a lot of other stars are in. Its early in the season and he is gassed at the end of games already its so obvious. I have no clue why the light cant come on there. I feel like he spends a lot of time working on skills the only thing I can think off is he eats way too much. He works out a bunch and then think it entitles him to eat whatever he wants. Thats not how it works.

Meh, Celtics spammed threes as they always do. Can't let Luke Kornet prop up Celtics on key possessions down the stretch either. I'm not concerned overall because much bigger things were at play in THIS game that most here don't discuss or rightfully ignore, but I did hint at it a little prior to tip off in my first post.

It's November and this game was Thanksgiving for the scum of posters here and on the GB who seem to have an irrational hatred of this team and have for far too long now.

The most frustrating game this season. Of course, against Celtics, who I hate watching because they're all about shooting 3s. And we still can't figure that out.

We are starting to be messy. Of course we don't have our lineup with Oubre and Batum, who are huge for this team, and then we have to give more minutes to Bev and Morris, who just can't keep up with it anymore. Our 2nd unit with Reed and Springer kept us in the game.
But very frustrating seeing Horford and Tatum just jack up 3s and hit them left and right. Add White (who is so annoying too) and Jrue to the mix, you get this.
2nd night of the back-to-back didn't help. Joel was totally out of it.

Harden is better at choosing trades than Morey. If Im the Sixers I’d probably call James and ask him if we should trade for Lavine

All Morey got is an excel file of player’s PER last saved at 2019-2020 season

And if you are wondering, Montrezl Harrell was averaging 18ppg on that file. So that should explain everything

Keep track of how often that observation covaries with the kind of demeanor Joel Embiid exhibited last night.
