Hit and runs, especially on someone high profile where public scrutiny is going to be front and center... I'd imagine if they haven't already they will follow up multiple times to try to pinpoint exactly where he says it occurred. One thing I noticed is unless I missed it a description of the vehicle was never released. I wonder if he never told them one to begin with. Still lots of unclear details.

Well when an unnamed Flyers star in the early 2000s came into their office and was diagnosed with broken ribs, the team listed him as "day-to-day with an upper body injury" and she said, that he'll be out a month with that injury. He was out a month.

Was he hit by a car?

Why would that be relevant? Do broken bones sustained by car accident heal differently than broken bones sustained in other manners?

This is definitely possible, but I can say for sure they have already explored going over any footage they could find from nearby areas and spoke to residents and eyewitnesses. They will be thorough. He's going to have some idea of the general area the incident took place or his route he took to get there. It's not like he was blindfolded and dropped off in the middle of nowhere, then was hit and has no idea where he was. So if he was hit, they'll be able to figure out the general area.

What I think we'll see happen is the police will continue to investigate and if they still can't find a sole video or person who says they witnessed or heard a hit and run occur, they'll question him again, but then be a little more accusatory in nature. If it comes to that.

But right now they are not going to outright accuse him of anything, in the event it did occur. It would be a bad look. They will be thorough with the investigation first, and may even ask him to show them in person where he thinks he was. Sometimes retracing your steps can trigger recollection.

That seems most likely. I've lived in my current city for 6 years and there are streets I couldn't tell you the name of.

I will say, if it’s something other than getting hit by a car, as crazy as that sounds, it’ll make even more sense given he’s on this insane nightmare we call the Sixers. The first explanation rarely seems like the correct one (Fultz shoulder injury, Ben’s extended absence, Colangelo’s burner accounts, I’m sure there’s more).

Does it count as a hit and run if the driver unknowingly hits a biker and treats the collision as just another pothole? I could never bike in this city, particularly Center City. Drivers don’t give a **** about you.
