Wemby unbelievable today. Up there with Shaq as the best rookie big man I've seen. The way he changes the ooppositions game plan is so rare, and he's still a kid.

Not sure many agree, but I think Embiid's best is better than Shaq's best, because Embiid is the best player in the NBA on both ends, just can't do it enough. But Rookie year, Wemby is just next level. If he stays healthy, he will be the best player since Lebron.

We’ve got about 2-3 more years until this is Wemby’s league. Sooner if they acquire the right pieces around him.
2023-2024 Philadelphia 76ers:

Lowry/Payne/Downtin
Maxey/Melton/Hield
Oubre/Batum/Council
Harris/Covington/Martin
Embiid/Reed/Bamba

Vic needs to add strength to his frame before he's running the league. Assuming he can, of course.

Malachi Flynn 50pts. You know what time of the season is this.

50% and 1%

Leaves because he doesnt seem THAT happy

1% because never say never and it would be a legacy suicide to come here. Not only will he forget how to shoot but he would be asked to carry a lot of load and he wont survive the high expectation of Philly fans. Oh. And I also dont want him here at this stage of his career. He’s more of a distraction

I've always liked him. Smooth shot, good handle, great in pick and roll.

25% and 1%.

He has said he wants to stay and retire in LA, but the door is open for leaving if Bronny gets drafted elsewhere and comes to the league IMO.

Either way, I have to think LeBron only has two years at most left.

Crazy thing is that the Lakers were just in the conference finals last year. LeBron's best bet might be to stand pat.

Hope he stands pat and forces the Lakers to waste a pick on his son, and it sets them back 3-4 years when the inevitable rebuild comes.

It's wild to think that there's going to be a player in the NBA (Bronny James) that I could beat 1-on-1.

Looks like the play-in will be against Miami.

No excuses to lose, but they have the edge with their killer mentality I feel

I still think the Pacers lose a game down the stretch here. The only question then becomes do the Sixers lose one as well? Pulling that one out last night was a big boost to their 6th seed hopes IMO.

I’m curious to see how other players adjust to Wemby long term. Part of his disruption right now is due to players being shocked by his length & uncertain how to play against it. That may never change but players will find his pressure points and develop counters.

The best way to counter length in other sports (MMA, boxing, football, etc) is to get in close. Attack Wemby by running through his chest. Which is what Embiid did successfully a lot in the game he dropped 70+ on him.

Wemby will always have a problem with power players. He has awful body type for maintaining strength. Similar to Nerlens Noel, he's too narrow. His shoulder length does not bode well for him ever carrying enough weight to anchor in the post.

Seems like the Pacers v Cavs and Sixers v Magic will determine the play-in situation
