Springer and Mac were by far the highest scorers for the Bluecoats championship team. Here are the other key players:

Michael Foster Jr. (starter)
Louis King (starter but came off the bench for 1 game in the playoffs and missed another - still averaged 30+ mpg)
Charlie Brown Jr (Was behind Champagnie until he was waived, then started for the rest of the season and playoffs)
Braxton Key (Started 2 games in the playoffs - was first off the bench all season)
They used a short 8-man rotation in the playoffs. The only other 2 players getting any significant time were Patrick McCaw and Justin Smith, but I don't think they have a future here. King and Braxton Key are in line ahead of them.

McClung shot 47.4% on threes in the G-League regular season. That's his highwater mark over 2 seasons, but he's shooting 40% (188/470) across two full seasons, including regular season, playoffs, and showcase cup. That's not a small sample size. He might qualify as a sniper if his defense lets him stay on the floor.

How much of a chance do McClung and Springer deserve? I think we should get them each 5 games at 20mpg to see what whether they can make it as a rotation piece.

Springer deserves 20+ minutes per game for sure. He's the best backcourt defender on the team and has shown flashes of on ball scoring potential. McClung is unfortunately too small, doesn't really provide much in terms of distribution, defense. He might just be a career G Leaguer. I'd rather see more of what Louis King can do, tbh.

The Bluecoats are stacked with potential. Between our bench and the Bluecoats, we should be able to find our bench solutions.

Three different Bluecoats who shot 39%+ on 90+ 3pt attempts in their regular season:
6-2 McClung @ 47% on 4.9 3pa/g
6-8 Braxton Key @ 40% on 3.2 3pa/g
6-7 Louis King @ 39% on 6.8 3pa/g

Springer didn't shoot well in the regular season but dialed it way up for the 4 playoff games:
6-4 Springer @ 47% on 4.8 3pa/g in the playoffs after shooting low 30s in the regular season.

And the Sixers bench:
6-9 Jalen McDaniels @ 40% on 1.3 3pa/g
6-7 Georges Niang @ 40% on 4.9 3pa/g
6-7 Korkmaz @ 39% on 1.2 3pa/g
6-2 Melton @ 39% on 5.2 3pa/g
6-5 Milton @ 38% on 1.9 3pa/g

House was the only bench player shooting 3s under 35%. Is it just dumb luck that we couldn't hit these shots in the playoffs?

I like the Bazely pickup. He was a starter in OKC on some bad teams. He's got good size, who knows? Maybe he sticks?

he's been pretty terrible and IMO the main issue is that he has wing size without requisite wing skills - you could probably argue that he lacks the skill for any NBA position (after 4 years in the league)

I like the Bazely pickup. He was a starter in OKC on some bad teams. He's got good size, who knows? Maybe he sticks?

he's been pretty terrible and IMO the main issue is that he has wing size without requisite wing skills - you could probably argue that he lacks the skill for any NBA position (after 4 years in the league)

He's more of a 4 than a wing. He has the skillset to play the 4 with some spot mins at the 3 and 5. He's playing center for the blue coats. I think his issue is not a lack of skillset but lack of identity . He has some inefficiency as a scorer and inconsistent 3pt shooter. Instead of trying to play like Brandon Ingram he should be focused on trying to play like Aaron Gordon. When I watch him play, I see high impact all-around player potential role player, not scorer(raw) which he was labeled as coming into the league.

In his last game he had 26pts 15rebs 4assists 2blks 2stl which is nothing to sneeze at ..
But on the flip side he was 9/23, 0-7 from 3 and 3 turnovers.
If he clean up the rough edges in his game there's is no reason he can't be a good role player in the NBA.

Bazely dominated that game on both ends even against Tony Bradley who is a fundamental sound big man with lbs on him.
