His development and that I think he will continue to get better is the only reason I'm hesitant that they should implode this team should they lose Sunday. I'm guessing Harden is gone, see how Maxey does next year and how he improves and then make a decision about Joel.

Feels like he turned a corner this series across the board. He's untouchable for me now. A building block for post-Tobias/Harden era.

Maxey development playing defense surprised me. He played way better in the playoffs than i thought he could. My doubt with him is if he can develop as a PG. If he cant be our pg, his placement in this team is kinda weird, as he is short to be a full time SG. We would need a tall pg with good defense to match up with him. Maybe Springer could be that guy? He has good size and is a good defender( maybe a great one), but he doesnt seem like a good passer. I´m kinda meh if we should resign Harden. I dont think he´s the one that could get us to the next level ,we needed Butler..

Not sure if you're serious, but Fultz still almost never shoots from further than the FT line or so. I don't buy him as a rotation player on a good team yet, at least not one who can play a big role in the PO. He's more like a guy who can make a difference if he's playing well but can't be relied on consistently to be a steady high-level contributor. Just too hard to be that if you're not an ace passer/creator and also aren't close to a threat from deep (and also aren't a great specialist of any sort).

You just mentioned size and defense, which Fultz has both of. But no, I'm not serious I don't view him as a starting quality PG on a contender. He's fine as a stop-gap PG for ORL while they continue to develop, and playing better than I expected him to when we got him in that trade with PHI.

We just lost because our PG, along with all the role players, couldn't hit shots. Fultz is an elite passer but is 100% not reliable in a playoff setting to consistently hit shots until he proves otherwise.

He makes a good point though with how to keep Maxey doing what he does best which is scoring. I'm not comparing Maxey to Iverson, but in terms of what fits next to him in the backcourt...I am. Larry Brown was the only one to ever figure it out with Iverson and who to pair him with. A big defensive minded point guard in Eric Snow. You take the same approach with Maxey if you want to continue with him as an integral part of this team. With that being said, I don't think Harden is leaving. But yeah...Markelle Fultz in theory fits well next to Maxey.

What is the ceiling for Maxey now that we’ve seen he can compete defensively on the biggest stage? I think with some improvement to his playmaking he can be a 5+ time All-Star & sneak in an All-NBA nod or two.

I hope you're right. It seemed like some here were ready to give up on him prior to game 5. Even though he missed some big shots in the clutch last night, I think he's our best chance of being a late game closer long-term.

I would like to escape the negativity for a minute to give Tyrese his props. His shot making wasn’t always what you’d want in the playoffs but he had a great couple rounds. He’s maybe the 1st Sixer in history to course correct mid-series against a strong opponent. He showed an extra gear on defense which is a huge positive for his future.

I hope you learns to get his dribble alive & play with better pace. If he can evolve as a scorer/player maker, then the sky is the limit for this kid.

He is still a traffic cone on defense, but he did alright on offense. At least he's shown improvement every year, usually that's the main sign you want to see when signing big contracts to young players.

Lightning quick but tiny shooting guard with a big motor and a great attitude. Liability on defense.

On a championship-caliber team, he is a great sixth man - a slightly better Patty Mills. He is extremely overrated around here, but probably the only valuable asset the Sixers have for a trade. Worth seeing what other teams will give up for him.
