I'd rather sign RHJ (Chester native no less) than do anything to get Ben Simmons back.

He belongs in the league. He also played good defense, but he’s just not playing hard on both ends because he has to play almost the entire game.

I don't know if it's legit at the NBA level, but his transformation its mind blowing.

In the NBA he was a great defensive player but with a very raw and limited ofensive game that ultimately made him unplayable.

Now hes creating his own shot against the Dream Team looking like a Kobe recarnation, lol.

We should absolutely try to bring him for the cheap, maybe he could be a solid defensive wing with some offense.

Well, you get my point, hes playing against top NBA talent. You have the DPOY anchoring the defense and one of the top defenders in Mikal Bridges on the wing, for example.

Well, for me Rondae was the second best player in that game of Jordan vs USA. But take it with a grain of salt because its not like its a close game. Altho the USA team defended him well on single coverage and as a team. There was kind of a mini battle between him and ant edwards in the start of the first. Ant was defending him. Josh Hart was defending him. Reaves was defending him. BI was defending him.

You also see respect from NBA guys to Rondae after the game. I dont know maybe they just remind them of kobe lol

He’s got a decent mid range game where it seems he can shoot over anyone because of his high release and he seems to master that leg work to create space or draw fouls that everyone is using nowadays.

He’s good on defense, he can stay in front of his man and get good deflections. He is a lot skinnier than before, so he went from being a 3-4 defender to a 2-3 defender. He’d be better as a 2 than a 3 because of his size. I think he can be atleast be an .8 ppp post scorer against SG defender.

Right now, I think he’s a low risk high reward player. Low risk because he can play defense for sure. Reward depends on how legit his shooting is. If his shooting is legit then you might get a derozan-lite with defense. But if his shooting is fake then thats like Kilian Hayes scoring wing with defense.

How could we choose Harrell over this guy?

In those clips, I think Rondae looks super stiff/mechanical/awkward offensively even though he was making the field goals. That's why teams in the league only used him as an athletic body to defend on the wing.

He's not a bad playmaker by any means, but his offensive moves are super easy to defend by an even marginally good defender and he's no threat shooting the ball.

Do you mean before when he was still playing in the NBA?

Lithuania’s guards has been great against USA’s wing defense in bringing down the ball, entry passes for bigs at the post, passes to roll man and shooting the ball. For me,that along side Montiejunas and Valanciunas dominance in the paint were the key to the game.

You have a good chance to beat USA by:
- discipline perimeter defender with decent defense from
Bigs
- being able to bring down the ball and pass with little TO from the guards against USA’s lengthy wings
- shoot atleast 40% on 3s on high volume
- good paint/post scorers who can score high ppp off the switching defense by USA

Watching Mikal makes me sad. Has there ever been a more perfect fit that fell into our hands!?

Some vids from the SLO vs CAN game.

Luka has so much star power that i find SGA very boring despite him playing very well and very effective.

I enjoyed watching this game because i was sitting around local college coaches and they were with their recruits teaching them about the game and Luka’s moves.

Luka like to drive with his right and stepback with his left, but he also has counters if you try to anticipate that with his hang dribbles that will get you off balance. Once he gets into the paint he knows how to use his body that its hard for you to simultaneously get into balance and also challenge his shot.

He also shows amazing court vision and passing ability. His pregame is a lot similar with Harden’s, thats why he can take and make high volume of stepbacks.

Withour further ado, here are some of my clips.

SGA should be #1 on that list, he’s dominating this tournament. I really hope him & Ant guard each other if we get the USA/CAN matchup we’re all hoping for.
