I agree BBall's contract going unguaranteed is big. We can keep him, guarantee a portion or all of his deal to use him in trade, or cut him outright.

E.g. I could see us trading him with one or more picks for a good rotation player (Caruso?) where he provides some positive value to reduce the trade cost. And if he doesn't have positive value we can just cut him and use the cap space instead.

Gives us major flexibility.

I'd be pretty shocked if we were competitive. The guys are all playing on expiring contracts except Embiid and Maxey and are all in body preservation and beach mode. The Knicks will play hard because they know we are the more talented team and don't really want a game 6 on the road to create any sense of internal doubt and give the Sixers some daylight.

Embiid needs to just take midrange shots at this point unfortunately. His drives are too predictable at this point. Kinda sad after he was the dream shake guy who looked like he was going to show off all these different post moves. Now he’s driving in the lane and getting volleyball spiked by the help defender.
