2023-24 Orlando Magic team appreciation!

Banchero, Suggs, and even Franz improved. I think the NBA leadership took notice, and we'll get national exposure next season.

I think pending FAs took notice of the Magic, too.

In a vacuum, it was a very good season. We overachieved and were on the brink of a semi-finals appearance. You have to be happy about that.

However, I think we learned a lot this season. We learned that we have a potential MVP-level player in Banchero, and Suggs showed that he's going to be a huge piece going forward for us.

The deficiencies of this roster were magnified during moments this season, however. Franz took a step back this year. If he's not going to shoot at an even average level, we have to reevaluate him entirely as a player and as a second option next to Paolo.

This team desperately needed a Donovan Mitchell-level player at the two this year. I think we need a second option and that you would be foolish to bank on internal improvement, we need to go get that player.

Paolo will be in some top 20 players in the NBA lists next year.

I think this season was a success.

Many experts did not even think The Magic would make the Playoffs.

Going into this season, I felt a First-Round playoff series and a good showing in the First Round would be a good season.

They met and even exceeded my expectations.

The future is bright here.

Now, it's about making improvements personal wise to take the next steps.

Its been a great season. This team has taken a big leap and there still more to go but we are headed in the right direction. This team accomplished alot despite having alot deficiencies. Future is bright, put on the shades and take it all in.

I'll just repost this:

47 wins, 5th seed, Paolo all-star, Mosley #2 in COtY voting, Suggs All-Defense buzz, Paolo, Franz, Suggs, Cole, JI, and Moritz proven regular season difference makers, Franz leading the team in win-shares (again).

Wonderful season.

3 wins in the postseason, ahead in net rating, Paolo superstar moment in game 5, Franz, Suggs, and Paolo all > 20 points in an elimination game, performing on the national stage and demanding attention.

A game 7 was such a treat. It was a chance to make history, a chance for this young core to differentiate themselves from every other successful young core that has come before. 1/3rd showed out and we came up short. That is expected. We are looking at one of the best young cores in history either way.

They've earned everything with grit, grind, determination, and belief. Very proud of this team. VERY excited for this off-season.

Losing this game is a bitter pill considering how great we looked in the first half. I still think this team is better than Cleveland if it had a matched level of experience. With all that said it was a great year, the team has bright future but it’s obvious we’re still building.

If the Magic can acquire a legit star level guard (either position) and a bigger better center, I think a conference finals appearance is a real possibility next season.

Paolo is the guy no question, some improvements on shot selection and decision making this summer and he’ll be a bigger beast. I’m not worried about Franz, he’s been great but I think his shooting issues can be solved with a rest filled summer and some work on his jumper. Remember, Franz has played 3 summers straight I think.

We need a new center in my opinion. I was very disappointed that Mosely didn’t play Goga, I think he could have made a difference in the series. Wendell is solid, but we need bigger in there.
You look confused...let me fill you in.

I enjoyed the season overall. It's break time for me. I will see you all here and there over the summer.

Wake me up if the front office does something!

Games matter here again and that is why I absolutely enjoyed this season. Front office did the work on collecting this young core. I have belief that they will do what is necessary to shore up the deficiencies so that we are back in this position next season and winning playoff rounds.

It was a fantastic season relative to expectations.

Now it’s entirely on Weltman to provide this young core the reinforcements they’ve earned and deserve.

I think our next step is to have a winning record on the road and in B2Bs. It's fun to see a team finally click on the road. When that happens, we'll be contenders.

Yeah, best season we've experienced in a while. Proud overall of how we defended and competed like demons all year long for being such a young, flawed team. Excited to see which young core players improve and how this offseason, and what the front office can do to help the team. As good as this season was, they've got their work cut out for them to fill our glaring needs.

This is one of my favorite groups of Magic players and one of my favorite years!

Can’t wait for next season. Love to see what Jett and Black bring.

Hopefully we find a starting guard this offseason to pair with Suggs. It would be great to add a player in Ingles spot that can be a true rotational player.
