also I cant believe this hasn't been mentioned,

but I long suspected that last year when Embiid stepped on grant Williams head that this was another dirty play.

Sometimes you have to force a reaction. I think if there was a melee following Embiid’s dirty play, he would’ve probably been kicked out. It would’ve required someone like Mitch getting a technical, but an equal response was necessary. Can’t let a team get away with dirty play.

Yeah he was playing bully and using his superstar card to use the refs. I do think Mitch could have layed on the floor in agony to force the refs hand.

After rewatching this play, I don't think it is on purpose, just absolutely stupid and careless and that's how he plays every game to draw fouls. He sees that he has no chance for a play on the ball so he decides to embellish contact, jump up, and land where ever without ever considering the consequences for both the other player or himself. He winds up stepping straight on Grant's head and he lands on his back awkwardly and if he wasn't such a diva trying to draw a foul, he could have maintained his balance. This stupidity and carelessness absolutely contributes to how often he gets injured.

If you look up the phrase crybully there's a picture of Embiid next to the definition.

Embiid has more flagrants than Draymond Green, in fewer games. A Raptor fan posted that Embiid injured 3 raptors when they met in the playoffs, 2019 I think it was. This guy is a menace.

League hierarchy is as corrupt as the day is long.

More flagrants than Draymond Green, that's a helluva achievement

I was talking to some guys at work and one of them said he stopped watching the NBA, said it was a fake league completely owned by gambling interests. Sad thing is I've been feeling that way more and more as this season has progressed.

I won't stop today, because I feel very invested in this season in particular and want to follow it through until this team is done for the Summer. But after this, I have no idea what I'll do, but walking away from watching sports forever is now on the plate. I did it with baseball in the 80s, the NFL in the 90s and I don't miss them one damn bit. The Knicks are on a whole other level of my affections, but if the sport is ruined then what's the point of being a fan any longer?

I felt like that ever since the infamous Kings-Lakers WCF game 6 where the Lakers got awarded 27 free throws in the 4th quarter. Looked to me like pure game manipulation. In that series for the first time ever it seemed like the really better team came out as losers due to the league blatantly rigging the series. It was appaling. Never felt the same towards the NBA.

I have scaled down my NBA consumption by a lot as well. Usually coasting through the regular season with multiple 2 week breaks from following the knicks or the league. Only towards the end of the season/playoffs it gets more intense for me. Try the following experiment as it worked for me in breaking that overly strong affection/addiction to the Knicks/NBA: For the upcoming season, do not follow anything NBA related over the summer and up until the new year---intentionally miss everything in the summer and the first two months of the season---stick to that no matter what. You will break that strong affection, which is at some point more like a detrimental addiction (it felt the same for myself). Nothing will be the same afterwards---you will be more in control in when to tune in and out.

By and large, the NBA is so corrupt and really not worth putting too much effort into it.

How can they? They'd be suspended for the game.

If the league wasn't so ****, they'd suspend Embiid for game 4, but the league won't do that.

Watching all the flagrant fouls last night got me exceptionally tight again this morning.
