This is FINALLY the offseason se drop the warchest for the superstar? I think so.

My preference is Spidah but Booker is not far off. I also think Thibs would get Booker playing a higher level of D over DiVo.

Randle, McBride +salary cap filler + picks for Booker

McBride has become untouchable for me. DDV is tradable.

Then we use Mitch Robinson + Bogs + picks for Mikal.

Come at me.

Do we resign IHart? If so count me in. That would be an absolute lockdown defensive team with plenty of scoring firepower.

I would prefer to trade Divo over McBride. However I feel like the Nova Knick thing and his connection to Brunny makes him unfortunately off limits.

With Randle and Mikal we would have to be league favorites …I far prefer that duo to just Booker

This is MONSTROUS news. Not that it guarantees they keep him but if they do ,that likely means instead of the 50M players they would likely go after the sub 36M dollar players . Such as Bridges and Spidah.

A scenario where we keep Randle AND land one of those two above would make for an absolutely fantastic team.

Remember that we have Randle coming back. Randle, Brunson, Mitchell and one basketball?

Sure but that allows them to play less than 40mpg ever game, maybe the knicks can now overwhelm the opponents offensively and OB can play less mpg, maybe mitch plays less(2 key players that average 50 games per season). Long term benefits, that could span years

besides there's enough ball for spida\brunson to average 23-25/10 assists. randle can throw in 20/10/7

Ok, I think that they'll be an adjustment period like we saw from Lebron, Wade, and Bosh. The first season was a little bumpy, especially in the beginning. I think I'd like to see what this team could do with Randle and everyone else healthy for one season. We were something like 13-2 W-L record after the OG trade and before Randle went down.

maybe, they really were resetting when the big 3 happen, if it''s just adding a scoring sg it's prob less of an adjustment, even less if it's bridges

Randle and Mikhal or Spidah are better scorers than anyone on this currently playing squad not named Brunson.

Right now its basically Brunson and a bunch of role players. Almost every other playoff team has two high level to elite scorers (or more).

Yeah its funny how some of want to roll out these guard/wing heavy/ yet paper thin up front lineups. I want us to remain balanced.

A big tough front court and a back court that doesn't neuter Brunson. Mikal is the only logical answer.

Julius is our ace int he hole versus the Celtics, Sixers, heck everybody. Without him we will be mismatched up front every night.
and I don't want to hear ..oh the back court will make up for it. At this stage the goal should be to build a team that nothing has to be made up for.

I think we're jumping the gun with Randle. There's no guarantee he succeeds in the postseason. Sucks to say, because if he was ever going to show that ability, it was going to be this postseason, but he has no new body of work to speak of.

The FO will need to figure out if they will take that risk, but I think Randle needs to give back some money too.

Not true. Bojan and McBride, Jeffries, Diakate and Sims get us very close to Spidahs salary. It would work as in the salary match is well within the viable trade range.

Donovan is opting out for a bigger pay day than 30-35 mil per. Julius, and JB opting out for about 40-45 per. OG probably 30-35 per. Let's say he's happy with 40 (he won't be when he'll be eligible for 55-60), we're talking 150 mil in salary right there. Josh, Divo, Deuce, and I-Hart locked in for another 50 mil.

That's Suns 2.0 in terms of flexibility.

McBride is a much better fit for Brunson. Brunson needs another guard who can take on the tough assignments and hit threes and keep defenses honest. I'm definitely avoiding a Dame/CJ situation if I can.

After that, the Knicks can pour resources into upgrading either the center or power forward slot. If we can get an all around point forward, I think that makes this team super dangerous. Maybe add a 6th man for Thibs.

I know I will be panned but what about rehabilitating Tobias? Size strength local guy and value couldn’t be any lower …

You phrased it wrong. All you gotta say is, "Let's get Tobias Harris to replace Alex Burks." Boom, instant support.

I think Detroit wants to pay Tobias though. Too many rumors.

So let me get this straight... you would NOT give up Deuce (whom I absolutely love) for a perennial all-star who's has averaging 27.2 points, 5.0 assists and 4.9 rebounds in 49 games in the playoffs in his career. Good lord
