Yeah... I don't know how one can NOT see a fit. I'm assuming people say it because of defense. All well and until you see teams double Brunson DARING someone else to step up. With Spida, you can't do that. Plus, he's a better defender than Luka and Luka & Brunson did fine. Spida is also a willing passer. This is not a washed up Francis and Marbury we're talking about.

In any case Divi has been really disappointing

Giannis
Spida
Booker
Mikal

Those are guys we’ll be looking at. DDV is no longer untouchable. McBride is.

The only untouchable Knicks are:

Brunson
OG

Next Tier:
Randle
iHart (only because the offense runs better with him and he can defend)
Deuce

Next Tier:
Donte
Hart
- because effort and culture

Meaning, it's ok to deal guys out of the next 2 tiers, but it would have to be players that bring the same level of hustle and selflessness, but with more skill.

Probably not that easy.

Hart and Donte are kind of the problem the Ewing era Knicks had with Ward and Starks.

Ward and Starks played very good defense but the Knicks desperately needed an upgrade at either position next to Ewing to really be strong contenders. (Aside from Jordan being in the way in the east for years)

Hart and Donte are great culture guys, play the right way, I'd rather retain them, probably best if both are coming off the bench.

Great post Buzz and i agree... Ewing never really had that guy he could say: "here, it's your turn" and Brunson is similar. And honestly, I think he's putting too much weight on his own shoulders but what else can he do?!

Of all the Knicks in the post-season, Divi has surprised me the most! In the regular season, we saw so much more to his game than post season. Many here say they don't want this one or don't want this one... well, one things for damn sure - we need more than what we have to be LEGIT contenders. A healthy Randle and I truly believe this series is over in 4, maybe 5. Now, if we get past Philly - do we have the energy to beat whomever next?

Randle + DDV for Spida... straight up. Mobley becomes the starting C, Allen goes to the bench or gets traded and Randle + Garland becomes their 1-2 punch.

Then we use Mitch Robinson + Bogs + picks for Mikal.

Come at me.

SF: J Brown | Dorture Chamber
PF: Gordon | Niang
C: Capela | Sharpe

Deep Bench - Forrest | Oladipo | Fernando | Young | Svi | Cody Martin

Can we get Booker just for a wad of picks?

But you can see the limit spida - garland too. Luka is an another offensive level too and better passer. For me the spida's game is too close to JB. And the other question is, twice can live (and have impact) without ball ? Clearly not sure, it's not curry-klay's game.

I clearly prefer trying all in for Giannis , or even watching, if lebron leave LA, because AD could be available in this way.

We'd need to include a lot of outgoing salary. It would at least include Randle and Bogs.

Mitch, Deuce, Boj, Sims works salary wise. Could do that once we know iHart is staying and bring back Precious. But I don’t wanna lose Deuce. I’d prefer to just trade for Donovan.

This series shows why u keep deuce over divo
I think u include divo , bogie and burks + picks for a trade target
You hold on to Mitch and deuce

Sure but that allows them to play less than 40mpg ever game, maybe the knicks can now overwhelm the opponents offensively and OB can play less mpg, maybe mitch plays less(2 key players that average 50 games per season). Long term benefits, that could span years

besides there's enough ball for spida\brunson to average 23-25/10 assists. randle can throw in 20/10/7

Somes teams can explode, bucks for example (so we can say hi Giannis, Davis, if lebron leave LA). PG could be available too, suns for booker ? markannen ? We just need to be patient, we are attractive so we need to be attentive for the better fit with the better offer. If I was the Gm, donovan would be at the end of my stars list because there are somes oppurtunities to try before.

Ok, I think that they'll be an adjustment period like we saw from Lebron, Wade, and Bosh. The first season was a little bumpy, especially in the beginning. I think I'd like to see what this team could do with Randle and everyone else healthy for one season. We were something like 13-2 W-L record after the OG trade and before Randle went down.
