Solid bounceback from Cortes to join the rotation party. 7 IP, 1 R (not earned), 5 hits, 1 BB, 6 Ks. 5 straight quality starts from the rotation.

Hamilton might be pitching himself out of the setup role at this rate. It's not a good sign when Ferguson has to clean up your mess.

Holmes keeps the triple donuts next to his ERA.

Soto has gone cold his last 30 or so at bats. Stanton is warming up, batting .317 with 4 HRs his last 10 games. Judge only picked up the long homer, but walked 3 times. His .405 OBP is highest on the team and 7th in MLB. Volpe now has a 10-game hitting streak.

Gil starts the 1:05 game tomorrow against Brad Keller, whom the the White Sox moved from their bullpen on Sunday.

Frankie Montas has fallen off a bit after it looked like the Yankees committed a mistake for letting him walk. His ERA is almost a full run higher than Nestor's, who many people consider the weakest link of the Yankee rotation.

He was cruising today. Seven Ks in a row...one off the Yankees record. Then give up a cheesy single and struck out the next two batters!! Looked nearly unhittable with 14 strikeouts!

I wonder if they limit Gil soon since he's still coming off TJS. If that's the case, I just say let him pitch Nestor's away starts. :lol:

Crazy to think Gil could've pitched longer for even more Ks had it not been for that 29-pitch first inning.

Soto with hitting out of his slump with a line of 4-4, 2 HR, 3 RBI, 2 Runs, 1 BB. Stanton still hot.

Rodon coming off two straight quality starts pitches for the sweep tomorrow. He needs to keep the party going.
