Well, the Lightning officially eliminated the 'Canes tonight. Lecavalier notched his 52nd goal of the season, and underrated defenseman Dan Boyle scored the winner.
The Bolts are now a point away from Atlanta for the lead in the Southeast, with the Thrashers having an extra game in hand.
It's going to be another interesting race heading into the final games of the season.

Yeah I remember hearing them talking about this somewhere. Just goes to show, with the New NHL and the salary cap, things can change in a hurry.
On a side note... hope the Habs can grab that 6th seed from the lightning
