As of writing the Habs would be drafting 5th or 6th based solely on record in the 2023 NHL draft.
They have done well in terms of adding young skaters via the draft or via trade.
However, in net for the moment Jakub Dobes (2020 5th round pick) is the best guy in your system.
Allen is 32 and Montembeault is 26 and not exactly lighting the world on fire.
As its likely Price never returns to form.
Do you take the best goaltender available in 2023 with your 1st or 2nd or do you make a move when your ready to take the next step for a more established player?
