I remember the first time I heard that nickname for the Senator. I was like six and my friend's dad had to explain the whole thing to me. Boundaries, dude...

At any rate, I don't know much about Joe Wolf's coaching. Sampson seems like a great hire, infractions notwithstanding. Just hoping we retain Peterson... but I have to admit that doesn't seem likely with the full overhaul going around. Although Babcock's still here, so who knows?

I would like to see us keep Peterson and Brown, but if Skiles wants to have Sampson replace one them then I am fine with that.

I also wonder does this have anything to do with Gordon. If the Bucks stay where there at after the lottery that's 7 and almost every draft board has us taking Gordon. Can we assume that barring any lottery miracle that the Bucks will be drafting Eric Gordon?

I know Gordon hopes the Bucks drafts him now...

So if we do draft Gordon, is Redd gone?

I'm not sure who we pick will have much of an effect on the current rotation. Unless we land either Mayo or Beasley, two of the more NBA ready players, our pick is probably coming off the bench.

I'm loving this offseason so far. Proven coaches with swift decisions made by the GM. Something we haven't seen in a long time.

This is definitely a good hire if it goes down. Sampson is a big time player's coach, while Skiles is not, so you have a good mix of personality there. Also, Sampson is a very intelligent coach, his teams have won wherever he has been.

I think he's more suited for the NBA personally, and not just because of the inability to rack up recruiting violations in the league.

I completely agree. Kohl has really stepped up to the plate in the hiring of Hammond and the guaranteed money to Skiles. I have been impressed with Hammond's decisiveness. He went right after the coach he wanted with an incredibly competitive package. Is allowing his coach to make strong assistant hires, and it looks like he is days away from extending Bogut. The franchise finally looks like it has a vision and a plan.

The real test comes this summer with player decisions. We'll see if Hammond has the authority to move any player he wants and take on additional salary if he feels it's the right thing to do.

My thoughts exactly. I love the idea of Sampson balancing Skiles' personality.
