I picture Bucks meetings to resemble the "band meetings" from Flight of the Concords.

Ron?

"Here"

John?

"Yes"

Mike?

"Yeah"

Ok

They need a more fitting nickname.

That's good. I also like Lil Ron and dem Pfister boyz.

If they designed a video game it might be called "Meddle of Honor"

Looks like Griffin was close enough to getting the Grizzlies GM job that a few people within the Grizz organization confirmed that he had actually been hired there. It was also reported by Vescey, though that means decidedly less to me. I wonder what happened that caused that to fall through. This was last May, at the same time Iavaroni was hired to coach.

Chris Wallace got the Grizz job after Kerr was named Suns GM, so it doesn't seem like Griffin was holding out for the Suns gig or something. I don't know how Kerr coming in might have impacted his decision-making, but it sounds like Kerr had been viewed as the possible next GM in Phoenix for a while. Griffin has been in Phoenix forever so he might simply have been looking for the best possible opportunity. Not sure if we fit the description, but perhaps he's now more interested in leaving.

I found this which was written Tuesday. If Kohl wants him he needs to throw some damn cash his way.

Otherwise people will continue to say he doesn't give a crap whether the bucks succeed or not

http://www.azcentral.com/sports/suns/articles/2008/04/01/20080401sunsnb0402.html

Suns Vice President of Basketball Operations David Griffin went to Milwaukee on Monday to talk to Bucks officials about their vacant general manager job but has let Milwaukee know that he is leaning toward remaining with the Suns. Griffin was a candidate for the Memphis GM job last year but pulled his name out.

Hmmm...good catch on that story......

But, we also don't know if Griffin is just posturing, so that if he doesn't get the job, it won't look like the Bucks turned him down.

All this talk earlier in this thread about nicknames give me the idea to use a Godfather reference.

I couldn't find pics of Mike Burr, so I used the next best thing and used Richard Burr. Oh well they are both attorneys.

The problem is that we don't have a Vito, Michael, Santino, or even a Tom Hagen.

We have four Fredos.

Heck, at this point, I'd settle for a temperamental Vincent who was into banging his ugly cousin.
