so, was this a move dictated by kohl, or did harris go into kohl's office and beg him to be able to make a transaction, so he could make a press release, and kohl said ok, waive somebody off the d league team and then you can sign somebody for the d league team.

This is not the type of move a real organization makes at this time of the year. is Ersan's European season over?

No, there is no chance of Ersan joining the team this season unless he is released by his Spanish club.

FC Barcelona's last scheduled game is May 9th.

I'd like to know how you can get a guaranteed contract to play for the Bucks. Storey sucks and he got one. Do I just have to punch a D-Leaguer? How do I get him to give me a 5 year $47 million contract to suck and be hurt? I'll do what it takes.

The only problem with that logic is that he's going to be unemployed while he does his job searching. He's now just 1 of a group of about 300 that want back into the NBA.

Sitting on the Bucks bench and dancing before games was also going to lead him to unemployment so really he is where he was destined to be anyone. The Bucks weren't going to resign this guy and they weren't giving him an opportunity to play... so he's hoping to continue playing well in the D-League and then possibly latching onto a team from there because they are impressed with his development.

For him to continue playing well in the D league, he needs to get a job there first. As of this morning he's not a part of either the D league or the NBA.

Noels contract would have finished at the end of the season. If the Bucks weren't going to resign him then they may as well let him go now. The Bucks might be able to use the extra spot to sign a D-leaguer that might play a different position (shutting down a big man?). And Noel might be able to latch on to a team for a 10-day contract before the end of the season.

It's no big deal though if he wasn't going to be around next season.

A true champion dancer will be missed.

Euroleague finals are kicking in, is it too late to get on a roster there to earn some bucks?

Edit: scratch that, finals are too far in and I doubt David could find his way onto a roster of any teams still competing.

If I were like David Noel - one of those guys who has a chance to stick around in the NBA, but 50/50 at best - I'd go to Europe in a second. Imagine if your fall-back plan was getting paid a half million a year to experience a new culture, potentially in a huge metropolitan market like Barcelona or Cologne. You can still prove yourself and come back to the NBA in two years.

I'd much rather do that than play for $35,000 in Tulsa, riding buses around the Midwest.

I agree completely. If you can get into a Euroleague team then you'll be on the big stage. The opportunity for 10-day contracts disappear, but I think you'll be in a better position for a proper contract. Plus, as you mentioned, living in Europe would be wonderful.

Although Noel wouldn't have been such a low amount thin season. He was on $600K because it was an NBA contract.

Either way Noel is guaranteed 687, 456 for the rest of this season, so he should return to the D-league for the rest of the year and try to improve his stock. It wouldn

He's got to find a D league team that is willing to pay him to be on their roster though. Previously, he was there for free so to speak.

It won't be hard for Noel to a find a D-league team to pay him. Any of those teams would love to have him.
