Movieman wrote:I heard it as well. You get the impression that this revolt makes the of the folks over there on WSSP nervous, and want to distance themselves from it in case it doesn't go well.

At the same time if it's successful they'll probably try to take some of the credit.

I think this is a legitimate concern. Nobody should get credit for this except for realgm people, mainly GAD. Someone should call up Homer's show on 540 tonight and mention it. I bet you might be able to talk about it on 620's weekend sports show too. The hosts aren't mouthpieces for the Bucks like Bill Michaels is.

With all the work and planning GAD has done for this I would call it more than "semi-organized."

If you want a place on Water that is big enough to hold a bunch of people, look at Trinity...across from the Harp. That place is HUGE and would definitely fit enough people.

Just a suggestion if you are having trouble with the other places.

I can't wait to see what happens and how the Bucks react to this.

Now, I don't know how many people are doing this for sure since I'm not on the email list, but I worry that a handful of people doing this will just look dumb. GAD can reassure me on this, I would imagine, but I hope there's a good lot of people who are doing this.

I left a message on the 1250 sound off line early this morning giving one last plug to the fan revolt. It will be the last program that we are able to get on before Saturday. So I really think that there is not a single 1250 listener that does not know about this. Hopefully some will participate.

That's what's kind of funny...it doesn't seem the idea has ever been to simply maximize the number of people wearing bags, but that's kind of how many are portraying this in the media.

I passed on the info to my friend, but he's worried and I agree with him that if I understand what we're doing there is a very good chance that we are thrown out right away.

Now I don't mind being thrown out, but I think that we'll get more accomplished and it won't be an entire waste of time/money if we can at least last through halftime.

What is the estimated time you guys think we'll last before we get thrown out?

While there is a chance they will overreact there should be absolutely no reason they can throw you out if you guys don't act out. No obscenities on the bags, no disruptive behavior.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Sports Guy just linked this thread.

This sounds interesting: For Saturday's Celtics-Bucks battle, the Milwaukee fans on RealGM.com have organized a protest where they'll be attending the game but wearing paper bags on their heads. And you're telling me this franchise doesn't need a new GM who can get the fans excited again???? I might have to do some campaigning in Wisconsin soon. By the way, thanks to the folks at The Bucky Channel for pledging their support. I have now cornered the market on Bucks blogs. I'd also like to thank the Bucks CFO for sending the exact same automated response to every fan who e-mails the team asking the club to consider my candidacy. It's that personal touch that makes being a Bucks fan so special right now.

I would imagine throwing out will occur when the arena plays the "Go Bucks Go!" chant and the baggies instead echo "Sell The Team!"

My guess is that people can plan on being thrown out due to "safety concerns." They'll say you can't hide your face.

Any other guesses?

Props to PP on hatching this plan and to Dan for doing the organizing.

How are you guys going to get the bags into the arena.......smuggle them inside your pants and extract them in the bathroom?

Return to Milwaukee Bucks
