Is this one of the most disappointing seasons in the last 20 years? We were a legit title contending team. The regular season was long as hell and honestly we played some very bad basketball. Then these playoffs have just been sad. Obviously the year we got mason will top the cake, but I’d say this is right up there. What’s the difference from missing the playoffs and getting back door swept in the first round?

At least last year Miami made it to the finals. Pacers are going out next round.

The fun part? Are very old and obviously severely injury prone team is a year older next year so odds are we deal with the same thing.

Excited to hear Giannis tell us in his post game conference this year wasn’t a failure again.

Good thing about these playoffs is that I finally after twenty years used the ignore feature.

My disappointment is palpable yet still tamped down in light of us winning it all in 2021.

I do wish there was more of a national narrative around Giannis not being healthy since we did.

I’m in the same boat. The championship has me not caring as much. If we didn’t win that year and the last two years happened could you imagine?

This echos the packers winning one title with Rogers. However at least Roger’s was there in the playoffs. Gianni’s hasn’t been for 2 years now. At least in the nfl it’s set up that the packers can get back. The nba is more like mlb in that once our window closes we become the brewers. Some good, some bad years but never a team that is a favorite

i think the biggest mistake we could make is to assume we were a legitimate contending team. we werent in fact it never crossed my mind.

we need an offseason reset.

id also say khris is our brunson. if your reset includes him youre missing what wins these mfers

Never crossed your mind that we were a contender? Come on now. We were a contender until April 10

Last post then I’ll zip it. But these playoffs show that the people yelling the regular season doesn’t matter, it’s all about the postseason are half correct.

But we played like crap all year and this is what we got. If they are going to get back door swept in the first round at least give us 5 months of great basketball to watch beforehand

It’s super **** hard to win a title. This team isn’t cooked either no matter what happens tonight. We probably need to lower expectations again though. The league is incredibly talented and our main guys are on the wrong side of 30 now. Doesn’t mean they can’t win.

Lol at 49 wins being one of the most disappointing seasons in the last 20 years. Steger, you've been around here long enough, did you forget what we were? It's okay to enjoy the most successful run this franchise has ever had. It may not come around again in our lifetimes and I'm going to appreciate it to the fullest rather than sulking about it.

We havnt come remotely close for 2 years now. This team is old and made of glass. None of that changes. We’ll still be a top 5 seed, but our window is 90% closed unless other teams get injured. We are now the dirk mavericks, older kobe lakers, etc. good teams but teams that won’t win unless everything falls perfectly.

Dallas was good forever but only won one title. Was only in one nba finals. That’s what we wil be when we look back in 10 years. Is Dallas upset they only played in 1 finals with a top 5 pf while spending crazy amounts of money on players they thought were stars in Jamison, Walker, lafrenz, etc?
